Ireland ballywalter cheating
AlbertJ replied to Wetnoseman's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
I speak frankly and don't mind frank talk and I admire a man who can say he's even a little bit wrong! If I get it wrong and like all forthright people I do - I am never afraid to say so. Hope to see you at Shanes and hear your opinion of the judges there. As with Ballywalter we will announce them so that people who do not like a particular judge don't have a wasted journey. Albertj have you decided on the judges for shanes castle yet? and are you going to reveal them? We have the terrier & lurcher judge selected just waiting for confirmation of the whippet one. -
I think Ballywalter has been 'flogged to death' I have tried to answer all the posts but except for waiting to hear from Kirsty a definitive statement on the breeder and breeding of her dog and making comment on that I do not intend to post further. Our team having completed the 'clear up' at Ballywalter are now totally focused on making our 50th Fair at Shanes Castle the 'golden event' it deserves to be. I hope to see and meet both critics and supporters for two great days at Shanes Castle on the 7th & 8th July. Our 2012 Web site www.irishgamefair.com will go live next week. Thanks t

Lesley, If anyone had assualted young Matt or anyone else at our fairs would have been banned for life and I would make sure charged. -
Mally, We have tried to sort this problem out - at fairly great expense I may add - by introducing novice lurcher events to let ordinary guys run without having to meet 'elite' racing dogs. We have also tried KC registered and non ped split - that got criticism because people couldn't afford or be bothered to register their dogs. This time round we had 'Pure Bred' whippets and non ped /Under 21 classes. Still disputes. I really do wonder why I bother. I was asked personally to look at three whippets to rule on whether they were 'pure bred'. It was easy on two - the other I thought marg

Kirsty, Winner is right on this. Time to step up and state unambiguously who bred the dog and what is his breeding. Albert -

What a dreadful example to set to a young enthusiast. With top prizes only bettered in Ireland by Shanes or Birr, a top terrier judge brought in from England - what on earth could you see wrong with that? I would suspect its because you didn't have the balls to enter or you entered and didn't win. . Young Man too his beating like a 'man' when he must have been very disappointed when his dog was pipped in the last few yards by a very fast little terrier with an amazing final kick. I think he could teach many about sportsmanship and I hope he continues to enjoy his dog and competing. Yo -

WNM, What a jaundiced view for your £25 you got a £15 Voucher for Shanes and a €20 voucher for Birr Free ringside parking inside the fair and a free programme - which if you had taken time to read would have shown you that there was a continuous of main arena entertainment from 10.00 to 5.30 plus 164 stands with lots of bargains. AND for your own interest events the chance to win excellent trophies, and prizes - only bettered by our fairs at Shanes & Birr. I sometimes despair of lurcher people like you, All you seem to do is want to bitch about things. Albertj -

All dogs were muzzled but as you know aggressive dogs can still make their presence felt. -
CG, I made a point of seeing as much as I could of this part of the show. I thought the Glenbank Club had improved their organisation and should be congratulated on it. And it was a personal delight to meet our young enthusiast 'Young Man'. I have three sons myself and I love to see kids enthusiastic about their animals and sport. Massive number of cars in the terrier and lurcher car park and a great entry of lurchers. The terriers had a top judge in Barrie Wade and I cannot see how anyone could complain about the quality of the three finalists. The runners up were very sporting in t

Which 'non ped' was that? the one that won the whippet racing was that harper had the non-ped ?is that one of the 2 he got from martin tucker and he got rid of the one with the hairy tail? it was the talk of the show, its now public knowlege that he is a cheat, why cant he be stopped?because he is billy harper! racing was a shambles, disgrace how many dogs got to distroy races with fighting,or the results would have been very different. Winner, I think you are being unfair to the two matts on the organisation of the racing. How on earth can any organising team know what dogs will do
