  5. Ian, I know you rather better than I know Darren but he did a first class job at the Master McGrath last year and I have no hesitation in having him act as line judge. He and I had robust debates but I have always found it was without rancour. Albertj
  6. Sam, I understand that a meeting was to take place to formally set up the IWTF and if this is the case we are more than happy to have a presence by them at Shanes Castle and Birr Castle Fairs if the relevant person gets in touch with me at irishgamefair@btinternet.com with their telephone nos. I would have said PM me but my box gets filled almost daily. Albert
  7. Ian, Thanks for your suggestions but In fact the race was run last year largely as you suggest. 1. All owners registered at HQ with my son David before 12.00 noon when they received their travelling expenses i.e for Irish competitors £25 (per dog qualified) and £50 for UK runners. 2. I personally supervised the draw and all registered and qualified owners drew a numbered ball out of a bag and dogs were run in that order. The owners got to keep the ball! 3. There were three line judges : Dazzam; Tom Fulton the Chairman of the Hunting Association of NI and one of our security sta
  8. There is not a digging championship nor qualifier.
  9. Darren, I can confirm that you and I have had a few robust debates including possibly setting a record for posts on K9! As you say you put your point cogently and with conviction and I respect this. So much that we had you as a line judge for the Master Mc Grath in 2011.. Any chance of you officiating this year - same high rate of pay - your tickets and lunch. It might also be fun to have WNM as one of the other line judges! Albert
