  4. no but ye can ensure it gets to its pontetial size by given first class food an excersize, so it does matter mate
  5. listen mate your being silly noo, if a whippet whelp hit 26 ats id be asking questions to the breeder not the feed merchant lol
  6. rocket ronnie said, i think it has nothing to do with food or feeding of the dam stage............ so just luck of the draw really................... to me that says no matter what ye feed or do, the pup will reach its genetically predicted size, an that aint true...
  7. i know for a fact that badly fed pups can have stunted growth
  8. no matter what they genes say, withoot proper food/nutrients the body/skeleton wouldnt be able to form or function correctly, surely thats obvious

  16. i done it for a few years mate, most the decent work is in an around london, an cost a living there is madness.... i done a lot of work in the steel works in south wales, an mostly london.. its pretty easy as a job, once ye get the hang a building yer air proof tents.. used to need a medical that cost around the 100 quid mark an a face fit to show ye can wear masks, my father in law still works for a company that specilize in it aswell as demo, so if ye need anything answered let me know an ill find out for ye
  17. wouldnt have felt a thing. love to see him try it with a big angry swan or goose lol
  18. most will handle a hard nite or 2, its when them hard nites turn in to 4/5/6/7 nites a week that i think the whippet losses it appeal, they just drop condition an are too fast for there own good......... if i was to buy a dog solely for ferreting however, a whippet would be top of my list i only go once or twice a week due to work then depending on the land ye run, a whippet could be an option mate, but if ye think you might do more, or you run ruff ground maybe a whippet based lurcher, best a both worlds

  20. diffrent people gel better with diffrent dogs.... diffrent dogs suit diffrent land......... i hunt a lot a varied land for the humble bunny an out an out speed merchants just dont cut the mustard up here
  21. most types will make a decent rabbit dog, a lot also depends on the training an keenness to get the dog oot an running lots of rabbits
  22. just make sure its not boiling hot when ye are ferreting, they dont like the heat, take a spade as ye could get a few lie ups but get it done, if you dont someone else will
