  6. No googling! 1. Why are man hole covers round? 2. Four people need to cross a rickety rope bridge to get back to their camp at night. Unfortunately, they only have one flashlight and it only has enough light left for 17 minutes. The bridge is too dangerous to cross without a flashlight, and it's only strong enough to support two people at any given time. Each of the campers walks at a different speed. One can cross the bridge in one minute, another in two, the third in five, and the slow poke takes 10 to cross. How do the campers make it across in 17 minutes?

  8. Gutted for you mate, crackin dog.Same thing happened to me with a lurcher bitch 7 years ago.Told the cops where the bitch was but they were not interested. It ended in a happy note as i took the law into my own hands and with the help of a few boys off here and a few old cronies a saturday morning visit to the premises where the bitch was held soon got her back. She was worth it though.....
  9. Ettrick Bridge, fished about 100 metres down from that a few times and had some good catches (it would be great if you were allowed to fish at the weir! But it would be just to easy then!). Fish can be a bit coloured at this time of year on this stretch of river.

I think the manager has signed + players since he joined Liverpool, you could probably count on one hand the real quality players he's signed (Torres, Alonso??? for starters). Hat's off to him though last season came very close, he's kept them in the top four year after year and got to two CL Final's winning one. I was surprised that he took Torres off at 1-1 away from home today though, obviously with the CL next week in mind? I think what's needed is some more quality signings in the same caliber as Torres in January and next summer, I don't think getting a new manager is the answer at thi
  11. Hi Caol_Ann - There's no way you would need to pay£-£100 for 12V 20Amp old type battery. Check out the seller that I got my battery from on EBay in my last post.... "Hi, I got a 12V 14A battery for the lamp for a good price on e-bay £20 + £6 p&p. I don't think you would need much more than 14A for lamping, unless you plan on staying out all night!....anyway link to ebay item below:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YB14L-A2-12V-14A-514...ca6eae24b" p.s. I got a 12V 14Amp for £26 that does me fine but they do ALL types of battery. They deliver fast too, couple of days and mines had
  12. I like the sound of that cross, not saw many photos on here of them though i.e. 1/4, 1/4, 1/2 Atb hope it all works out. Mr Jones
  13. Yes, I see where you are coming from, that thought has crossed my mind too, the only thing I would say is that in nature the animal has evolved naturally to suit it's NATURAL surroundings. With domestic dogs us humans have used years of selective breeding to basically make an animal in to what we want it and that can bring problems, if you look at the greyhound it's very unlikely an animal like this would ever have developed in this way naturally, injuries in the wild would make sure of that....you're right though...food for thought and I do agree with you to some extent! atb Mr jones

  15. There was an interesting thread on this subject earlier from Nottzhunter08 it's saw a bit already for it's age..shot and retrieved. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...ter08&st=15
  16. I think there is a lot of differing opinions on here mate, depends on the definition "starting them", to be of an age to do what an adult dog does then I think the general concensus is around 10 months - 1 Year, some say longer for bigger prey though..... Could be an interesting thread!

  18. mr jones----7 1/2 months ffs he's still growing , knacker it's growth plates and it'll cripple the f****r, let it learn to walk before you force it to run, it's a hard life for dogs , without entering them too young, dont say i have'nt warned you of the possible dangers Hi Denned, Thanks for the advice (to be honest I was half expecting a reply like this). I'm just letting her have a couple of runs if that on easy rabbits, getting her used to the lamp and recall etc... was planning on doing this once every week/couple of weeks going forward, then when she fully grown and up to full
  19. I can vouch for that too, all in good condition and well looked after, father and son used to race greyhounds for years so know their stuff. edited: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...p;#entry1282740
  20. It's not long in passing...as the saying goes "They grow up fast...."! atb Mr Jones
  21. I had a HW77 and it was an excellent gun, might be a bit heavy for some. I would go for an "Ox" spring, I used these for years. You may want to steer clear though as in some cases they can make the gun over 12 ft/lb which is the legal power limit. There is a place on the web that's sells them but you could try your local gun smiths. http://www.airrifleshop.co.uk/Accessories/Springs.htm Looks like you would need No. 6. You should be able to fit them youself, I did it myself....it's not easy but it's worth it! atb Mr Jones
  22. Thanks mate, she is 7 1/2 month old. Just started taking her out for a quick shine, a couple of runs, getting her used to the lamp and recall etc, nothing serious yet!
  23. The brown and white ones look nicely marked mate....all the best with the sale...
