    Out today for a quick couple of bolts with the ferrets, young pup is about 8 1/2 months and got three but all mixi. Still good learning for her though taking the rabbits but leaving the ferrets alone. atb Mr Jones

    That should be removed. Fair enough hunting a wild animal but to be put on a chain and tormented like that is sick in my book.

    My bull x pup had a worrying "Comb Over" at 4 months, it has thankfully rectified it's self now (she's 7 i/2 month now)! atb Mr Jones Photo @ 4 months....a photo Prince Charles would be proud off!

    saluki x's iv seen work will never touch a fox, and are very sensitive to injury I have heard that too, take much longer to come on and are more sensitive, been out lot's of times with a 3/4 Grey 1/4 Saluki and it was an absolute killer on them but it was good on everything. atb Mr Jones

    In general terms I would imagine that it would do no harm but there is a risk and it's quite a big one, if it was to take a bit of a pounding you may find in the future they will chase but not take, you may think the biter backer has cunningly out run the dog but the actual fact is the dog does not really want to take it. You will know yourself, if the dog has plenty of adult agression and has lost all it's puppy traits then I'd go for it. Maybe start of on a female biter backer though or as per mickeyboy's post.     i couldnt have a dog like that, as i would need it to catch asap dont have time to f,ck about lol Your dogs obvioulsy must wear their pants over their trousers and have capes flying off their backs to clear all those trees and undergrowth?!!?     A friend of mine has a 3/4 Greyhound 1/4 Saluki red Bitch 26 tts (retired now), it was great pre ban, best dog I've known, it done plenty slip and kill in open fields but I think where the dog really excelled was in rough ground, it could track them and run them sometimes for 5/10 mins +, it would only run at half to three quarter pace through the trees/bushes etc just staying in reach and no more not making any mistakes, being patient, playing the long game, much of these ended up in a kill, normally when a mistake was made in the rough.     I was just talking about that the other day to another forum member....I think in general people count age by the day of the month for example if born 15th June then on 15th Decemeber pup would be 6 months. There are 13 lunar months (i.e. 4 week periods) in a year and 12 calander months so difference is only a couple of weeks at 6 months. Suppose you can't go wrong by just saying how many weeks the pup is. Sounds like a nice cross would be interesting to see some pics. atb Mr Jones
