  4. What i cant understand is why do so call dog men think that if the dog is of no use a bullet to the head or passing it on is the best thing. the only way to get the best out of your dog is making them a part of your pack and give them the time and respect they deserve only then will you get the most back from them even if they are past there best or injured. they may not perform aswell as they should but its no excuse for taking the easy option. you get out what you put in
  5. why does it make him at good dog man? you could say hes kind to animals if you want but sometimes as a "Working dog man" you have to think with your head not with your hert. I.M.O a dog with an injurie like that has no chance of a 100% recovery, and to me a dog has to be 100% to warent a place in a kennel. For £1400 and the time youll spend on a dog that wont come good you could buy a well breed pup feed it for a year and spend your time training it to a good standard and at least you know it has as good a chance as any healthy dog of making a worker. Personally I would have shot (

  8. thanks for the advise and kind words folks. the vets have shown me massage and minipulation of the joints but now you mention it i think that advice from a greyhound vet would be best thankyou, hadnt really thought of that but now it seems so obvious. the woman that runs the hydro pool has lent me a 'NHC hand unit' which looks like a big fat vibrator lol but apparently good for stimulation of muscle and circulation.pm emptied
  9. heres a pic of my dog, he broke his humerus mid march there was some nerve damage too. He was running a wood and fell in to a ditch only about 2 foot deep 4 foot wide but he was a full pelt and just didnt see it, found him the other side just sat there with his leg hanging. He weighs 55kg and i had to carry the b*****d quater of a mile or so to get him out. Got him down the vets and 4 days later i got him back, the dog had 10 pins and plate in his leg and i was 1400 quid lighter. Its been 3 months or so now and is doin aqua therapy twice a week in a horse exercising pool cost £5 instead of th
  10. marans, light sussex and rhode island red will give the best egg production and meat but orpingtons will give you a bit more meat but not as good egg production crosses between them can produce some better birds
  11. would be interesting to know why there is more colour variation on the continent? in regards to black foxes they were hunted more because of there black pelt and are now as rare as hens teeth, though in the US they havnt been targeted like here so are far more widespread and common. maybe in years past menalistic and black roe were easier to spot? or there was more demand for the black or spotted hides so were targeted more and we are now are left with the offspring of the common coloured? would be interesting to know the answer
  12. Has anyone been involved with this pack? are they still about? any pics or info would be appreciated

  14. i think if it was kept under raps there would be an order served on you to keep quite or a jail or fine, farmers may like money but they arnt stupid. well i believe it and round my way it seems to be common knowledge although kept quiet.
  15. i dont agree,,,, foxes and badgers are seen daily here,, or should say nightly,,,,,, you say cats are elusive, and thats true,,, however wild life photographers film big cats world wide, some of them very rare idividuals.. i agree with robo christ,, we would have seen dead individuals lying around the countryside by now, acording to statistics theres been hundreds if not thousands of sightings,,,, that would mean a lot of individuals wandering the british countryside. wich would mean dead cats lying around, however about 20 years ago there was cerval or jungle cat ,, somthing like th
  16. A black cat was seen by a local farmer not to far from me walking into a barn on his farm about 8 months ago he closed the door behind it trapping it inside. the local authority 'not sure who that was 'defra' was informed and it was tranquilised and taken away! he was told thatgoverment policy was to not to publicise such cases to stop panic by landowneers and the public.when asked what wopuld happen he was told old or injured cats are destroyed any healthy ones go to private collectgions game reserves or zoos. casts have been taken locally of prints, also after talking to a local farmer to me
