  2. you cant put up any pics or discuss that it is still being done today because it is illegal in britain and the thread will go missing . pics of dogs taking deer pre ban and the offspring that were bred out of em, im no law breker mate just interested in dogs that are capable of taking them horned rabbits
  3. come on folk lets hear about your dogs that take deer [munty roe fallow or even red]. ill come clean lookin for a good pup out of a woodland dog and was hopin one of you folks would point me in the right direction without realisin it. be nice to see some pics too
  4. i think a dog that takes in woodland not only needs to be fast and agile but big enough to go through or over cover, as a pure deerhound is good going over open rough ground after deer but not woodland [correct me if im wrong] there must be someone out there that has a line bred specifically/predominantly for woodland hunting, please pm if you like. someone mentioned about minshaw being good at this, does or have anyone owned and used one in this way. thanks folks keep it coming
  5. i hear alot about lines for coursing n rabbiting n such but what about dogs that have been solely bred for deer, were or are there any. dogs for hunting deer in woodland. no silly coments about deerhounds . thanks awen

  7. you right mate sorry, right pal all it needs is somewhere warm to sleep especially now the temperature has dropped if its not cold or hungry then atleast all the wining is is seperation anxiety, and all that takes is gettin up for it when it does wine and settling it back down again, once it gets a bit older that will stop. you need to bond with it to get the most out of it and for it to do its best for you in future . that wont happen if you cant put the time in. id say get the pup inside for atleast the next month or two, it will get used to your bros which will be best in the long run [j
