    lost my old hob in june, just shy of 14. between 8 and 10 is more normal though

    so is it one of those breeds that has died out entirely as a working animal or does anyone know of anybody who has kept the breed going as a working animal. i guess the problem is that eventually the gene pool will be too small to continue the lines without deformities and without using show stock. such a shame when good dogs are ruined by the kennel club and unfortunately it seems to be more and more common.

    shouldnt be a problem mate, squirrels are a vermin species so no issue with killing them. the only issue you may have is lack of permission but if nobody saw you i wouldnt worry

    personally i would go get him mate, yeah it could be expensive but after all he has been through he deserves a decent dog man who will care for him properly for the remainder of his days

    here's not the place to advertise my ferts, if I look at the top of ferreting section, I will see 2 "pinned" topics, ferrets for sale and ferrets for free, if I think about it, that will be the best place to put my advert oh, and I wont include my phone number on an open forum, thats what pm's are for

    it is a legal requirement for a dog to be under control in public. therefore if your lurcher or any dog for that matter took off chasing anything and does not come back when called, regardless of whether it kills or not, you are liable for prosecution. if your dog will not come back when called it must remail on a lead at all times. atb andy

    make a very good all rounder mate. the dog will be more than capable of taking anything you point it at. it may decide it doesnt want to though, dont rush it into anything and you should have a cracking dog for all quarry
