  1. they are 2 lovely looking dogs ,if you breed with yours brothers bitch do you know how much he would want for them
  2. fallow deer are very fast ,but dont put up much of a fight ,but if a dog was to take a kick off of one it would do some damage . where a sika will fight and fight till they got nothing left ,they are more of a test for a dog you must be talking of sika red hybreds, as a pure sika stag even in the rut is no match for a dog,the reds are the daddys but the fallow bucks are far better then any sika. pure sika stags no match for a dog, what planet you on the same planet as you ,i been to your ground with leec, sika are puppy fodder, and no match for a dog.in fact i have never

  7. you are better off going out with a few types of running dogs and see them work before you comit yourself ,and it also goes on what quarry you want to run ,im sure there would be someone who would take you out
  8. i like a dog to do its job single handed ,its the only way to test a dog and that would be on any quarry that they ran
  9. hello rich hes looking nice are you going to bring him down next season
  10. without a doubt one of the best guard dogs ever

  16. any cross really needs to be 100% to run at there best , and i would love to be proved wrong and see a bull cross run all night long ,but i dont think that will happen ,even a good saluki given good hard runs and im not talking just about one or two three or four runs will fade and i dont think you can compare the staying power of a saluki to that of a bull cross
  17. it depends on how you run your dog ,if you only want a couple of runs get one but if you want to have some good sport i would nt have one ,i ve been out with quite a few over the years and i dont think there has been a night when running bull crosses that we havent had to come home early ,yes some are very fast and game and do kill quick but they cannot last and you can see them fade very quick ,i think some bull cross owners need to open there eyes as most other crosses will do the same as a bull cross ,
  18. theres a young lad around here who runs one, he catches plenty when he takes him out
  19. on the for sale section on this site it seems there is one for sale every other post ,at all different ages ,now is that because when they are bred and the pups are born they come out , or some come out racey and some throw back stocky and dont suit the person for the work they want to do with it .or is it just crap breeding
  20. its about 5 weeks ,after that she will start really filling out
  21. hares are alot harder in the daytime ,but at night time they will still give your dog a good test ,some you will catch quick and some will take the piss out your dog ,and to all thoose who say they are easy for there dogs i would like to take them out and give there dogs say 5 runs or how many runs they think there dogs can take ,big or small fields
  22. sounds like weak hares to me,ive never seen a dog kill a GOOD winter hare after 1 turn, just imho what i mean is when she gets to it and turns it she is tight to it and puts it under pressure untill she kills it , and that is a good winter one
  23. ive got a saluki whippet greyhound shes about 23tts and really quick in a small field, when she gets to a long ear and turns it once she is almost certain to kill it
