Hi all I was initially going to buy the NS50 for my .22 rimfire, but after reading many good reviews on the NE500, I'm now not so sure. My only concern, and the only negative feedback that I have read on the night eye 500 is the build quality, compared to the more popular Nitesite units. Any info on the night eye both good or bad will be greatly appreciated, as I am a complete newbie where night vision is concerned, and I just want to invest in a product that will be the most reliable and long lasting, Regards, John

Thanks for the replies lads Just ordered one of the above targets, But just look at the price, £7.49 from the Bay. Thats less than half the cost that some are being sold for. At that price I might have to order a couple more, John http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350849378296?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D350849378296%26_rdc%3D1

Hi all I've decided to buy a self resetting target for a bit of fun plinking with my HW100, and I was just wondering if you guys could suggest a target that won't break the bank. I have been looking at the Jack Pyke 5 spinner, so if anybody has got any feedback regarding this or any other recommended spinner target it will be greatly appreciated, Regards, John http://www.countrywaygunshop.co.uk/product/jack-pyke-resetting-spinner-target/

Hi countryboy Isn't that a Coincidence. Back in January of this year I also purchased a new HW100s from the Airgun Centre, and their service was top notch. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the Airgun scene. I even got a cuppa too. This was the second time I have bought from the Airgun Centre. The first being many years ago when the Rapid 7 mk1 first came out, I just had to have one. By memory, their service was as good then as it is now. As for their lifetime warranty I can't really comment because, so far i have not had any problems with either rifle. I would defin

Hi all As the posts title states, I am having a few problems fitting a scope and mounts to my late 1970's BSA Mercury .177 The problem is that the mounts keep coming loose, and in some cases, even falling off completely, scope and all. After a bit of investigating, I have discovered that the early BSA rifles had very shallow mount grooves, this in turn causes the problem of scope/mount shift. I have even phoned up a couple of gun shops, and was basically told the same thing. ''We do not recommened a scope mount system for early bsa guns because they have very narrow grooves, and th

Hi Mike I'm just going on what it says when reading the info on the pro solar model. The 400 model states in the info that it is not waterproof, but the LRF 600 and the Pro Solar are. If you click on the following link the info is there, John http://www.theairguncentre.com/online-shop/range-finders/232-lrf-600-pro-solar

Hi I opted for the Hawke LRF Pro Solar model. The reason i went for this model was that, I liked the idea of the built in solar panel that charges up the built in battery by simply placing the unit in direct sunlight. Also, Unlike the slightly cheaper 400 model, the pro solar is waterproof and has a 200m extended range finding capability, should this be required, John http://www.theairguncentre.com/online-shop/range-finders/232-lrf-600-pro-solar

Hi there When i purchased my new HW100 recently, i too decided to by a rangefinder for the first time. The one i opted for was the Hawke Pro Solar 600. Since february when i purchased the rangefinder, it has not missed a beat, and the good thing about this model is that, it has a built in battery, and to charge it up, you simply put the solar panel in the sun for about an hour or so every now and then to keep it fully charged. The rangefinder also comes with another back up battery, and should you loose all the charge while out in the field, you simply slip the spare battery in to the al

Thanks for the swift reply Adam. I've just received an email back from the people who are selling the iscope in the USA, and they suggested that i download an app called Camera 360. The problem is, after downloading it, i have not got a clue on how to use it, and can't seem to find any instructions. Surely this app is meant for different camera snaps / photo features, and not video ones, like the required zoom feature. I hope to try out the home made iscope at the weekend, Weather permitting, and will have a go first with the standard video player on my HTC Desire s Mobile, and see where

I too have just made the above iscope. The problem i have is, because i dont own an iphone, (my phone is Android) the video zoom and movie pro app are unavailable to me. Also, as i have not had time to try out the homemade iscope out in the field yet , if anybody has any suggestions regarding a suitable app for an Android mobile, to use in conjunction with the iscope, they will be greatly appreciated, John

Bore Snake = Rubbish? Or Is It Me?
mjr88 replied to Beefbeefbeef's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
My .22 snake is also ok. When the barrel is dirty, the snake does take a bit of effort to pull it through, although, not as much as your .17 obviosly does. As already mentioned, check that you have the right snake for your calibre, John -
Thanks for the links. Think i'll have a go at making one myself

Hi all After reading Junes edition of sporting shooter, i came across an article about the i scope. It basically fits on to your scope, and you then fit your i phone to the i scopes connecter. You then download an app and use your i phone as the view finder and can record your shooting at the same time. Apparently there are also adapters available to fit other smart phones to the i scopes connecter too. As i have never come across this product before, i was just wondering if somebody has any info on it, both good or bad. Also, are there any UK suppliers that sell it Regards,

Air Arms Diabolo fields in .177 are supposed to be an excellent pellent for the HW100. I've just bought a tin to try in mine. The only pellet i've tried so far are the Field Target Trophys that came with the gun, and they are deadly accurate. John

I've recently bought a Hawke too. Not the cheapest piece of kit, but does the job nicely http://www.theairguncentre.com/online-shop/range-finders/232-lrf-600-pro-solar

As above. In actual fact i have recently bought a brand new 100s .177. Only been out with it a couple of times due to the crap weather lately, but even so, what a quality machine. The accuracy is outstanding, as is the trigger, cocking mechanism, and basically the whole outfit. Makes me wonder why i didn't convert to .177 years ago, John

Hi all I've recently bought a new HW100 outfit, and i am now looking to buy a pair flip up covers for the 3-12 x 50 scope that came with the gun. I was just wondering if you guys can give me some info on which ones to buy. Butler Creek seem to be the most popular, but i have recently found Hawke Covers that look very similar but are a bit cheaper. But is the quality of the Hawke covers as good as the Butler Creeks? I have heard that the Butler Creeks can have quality issues also. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, John
