many years ago the police stopped me and granite man and it was the same sort of thing ,he checked the gun over and seemed quite impressed ,it was a bsa superstar which had an underlever which could look like to barrels to someone who didnt have a clue and with a 3-9x50 supermoonlighter scope on ,i spose to what people remember their dads owning which possibly had no scope atached these air rifles now really look the biz with magazines, silencers etc ,any way he said i tell you what i'll just take it back to ya mums ,check we were cool to be out with a gun and that was it he was sound and o

alright buster what type of target are you aiming at cuz i tend to check zero at about 20 mtrs by shooting at a piece of board and see where pellet hits in relation to the cross hair and then if it lands smack on the cross hair i then put say another couple of pellets aiming at the first pellet hole to see if i get a nice grouping ,i prefer this to aiming at the paper tagets with a picture of a rabbit or summet ,i find this very accurate and i like to lean on a chair with me thick winter jacket under the gun as it makes a nice stable platform ,hope this helps OH and what do you call a fu

hi all as im away next week for 3 weeks me and granite man went out last night with the air arms ,as he is in the process of getting a gun we share the gun ,so it started off with the usuall zero check ,only a couple of shots but it does the confidence good , we walked down to a field and over the second gate ,dave brought the gun up and standing shot it was a rabit with mixy 10 yds away and dispached it 1st one we seen (not good for the pot ),down to the next field it was my turn ,after a 50 mtr crawl to a fence there was 1 rabbit in a small paddock ,s410 resting on the fence THWACK ,r

i think the stalker make of air rifles do a gun up to 350 ft lbs and the pellet which is just a lump of lead with a point onit .50 if im correct ,i saw one a while back ,hell of a tool but cost a couple of grand ,and you only get about 3 shots as its a pcp
-
man that s410 is a dam fine gun and you will have to just dig deep ,save a stash and buy both of you a gun and see if us old boys can show them young guns a thing or two ,welcome to the forum dude

i found that the only bait which worked at a grain shed was the grain itself ,we used to chuck a handfull into some pallets about 5 high which meant there were a few layers which the rats would be in where they would eat the grain as they arent suspicious of it and treat the crates as a safe place so would stay long enough to get a couple of shots off

just wondering what the idea of a scope with no cross hairs is ,how do you zero check ,it aint much better than strapping a pair of binoculars to your gun is it or do you draw a cross hair on your eyeball
-
thats one bold as brass fox great story mine dosent top that but the other night me and my mate were lamping and i shot a rabbit and a cat run out from the bushes grabbed the rabbit as it was giving a few last kicks and done a runner into the bushes with it ,i aint never seen that before hats off to em aye for there sheer cheek

dont spose joanah lumley likes air guns does she cuz she seems to be able to kick some ass in changing goverment policies ,could do with someone like that fighting our corner

that cocking mech will get easier ,and youll be loading pellets sweet as a nut ,as for the loading just keep ya thumb over the hole while you slide magazine in with gun pointing down and it becomes second nature
