  11. Not quite true as there is evidence that they will not only kill but also eat mice that stray in to the tunnels. Their main food though is worms and inverabates. they will also eat there own kind , but they are still insectivore's Part-time insectivors!!

  14. ID GO FOR A FEMALE HARRIS MATE IF YOUR ONLY GOING TO KEEP ONE BIRD FOR EVER AND IT WILL LEARN WITH YOU MATE AND THEIR IS A BOOK BY JAMIMA PERRY JONES ITS THE BEST BOOK IV READ ON FOLCONERY MATE Sorry I have to disagree! When a female harris gets to breeding age and her tempremnet changes she could become very difficult to handle. No such problems with a male. Males can and will take everything a female can upto but excluding a hare and on the hole you will have more fun with a male harris without the headache of a snotty female. BIGGER is not necessarally better!!!!
  15. Very versitle indeed. only ever had two, too much for me but I do enjoy watching good dog work in the shooting field. I'll stick to my labs for shooting, my lab x spinone for the hawking and my little wabbit dog for the wabbits!! What est. is it that you work or can't you say?
  16. What about the brindle/white pup on the far right. is it a dog?
  17. Not my choice personally. You won't be able to use it for shoot over if you allow it to chase! If you want a Rabbit dog then get one of the smaller whippet crosses, as you want something that is quick off the mark. What happened to the hawking??? did you ever get in touch with my mate???

  19. Looking good! What is their breeding? Any pics of the parents? and the brindle/white pup on the far right, is it a dog?
  20. You have my appologies! i stand corrected! Thankyou for pointing that out!
  21. Where in my post have I been "aggressive"? If you read my post properly I have pointed out that: 1) The dogs seem in fair condition 2) I have aggreed that they need adiquate bedding arrangments. I personally don't believe that SJ should have launched this poll especially after he got the reaction he did on the ORIGIANL thread? and as I have already pointed out and YOU seem to aggree that this does nothing to help the countryside fraternaty what so-ever, so why post it if not to cause trouble? After all SJ has already admitted that he maybe should NOT have posted this particular thread!
