thanks for the replies lads its a shame that they are no good its about time that deben or someone made a good version of this type of lamp it would be great if we could have a type of lamp like a cordless drill where we could just slide the battery in the grip of the lamp no wires then to be pulled when getting over fences quick and running up banks when you have to keep the lamp on whatever your running. most lithium battery packs have more than enough power to last the night so halving one to slide into a lamp handle should be fine, you could even carry a spare if lamping for many hours wha

how do i do that lol its on ebay put lamping lights in the search bit and then scroll down its on the first page

was looking on ebay at the lamping equipment and thought they look ideal as they have no leads to battery as its built in at the back of the lamp. it says it will last five hours off one full charge and it has a good 300 metre beam. phoned the shop thats selling them (a1 decoy) to see if he knew if any lurcher lads had purchased them. the bloke in the shop only knew of shooters that had brought it and said he had had no complaints. has any one seen these in use and are they of much use with the lurchers ?

thanks for the reply fight the ban but if the keepers dont want you on there they dont want you on there you have to respect their decision it is there ground at the endd of the day and chinning them would not do anybody any favours its a small world when it comes to fieldsports and word would soon get around, im just glad to be able to get some sport full stop be it rabbiting with the lurchers or working the terriers on rats or fox. if you have that much sport that you are able to stop at the first sign of cubs you can give me a day out if you like ill come up mid season so that our morals do
-
fight the ban its ok trying to be all sporting and claiming that the minute you find your first cubs you pack up for the season unless you have a call out, but how about the lads who cant start until the shooting has finished as there are many keepers who wont have anyone doing anything until the birds have finished you may be lucky enough to be able to work your terriers from august to end of january and fair play but dont start trying to gauge the terriermen on here because they are still digging in lets say late april, surely the best way to judge a terrierman is how he looks after his dogs

Why wouldi lie,if i wasgoing to lie would of sad it was a ffteen foot dig in rock hrd ground. No techniqe the dog got the fox by the throat end of,it could of hd heart attack anything mate. I dont no wht else i can say to you mate, the dog got the fox at the end of the day mate end of really. its just not heard of that often is it mate a terrier killing a fox in a dig that probably took less than ten minutes. fair play anyway im not to botherd i was just putting up an opinion hope the dog carries on doing well
-
not saying you are telling fibbs but for a terrier to kill a fox before you could dig 0.5 in sand in an easy place would take some doing. if the dog did kill it then fair play and i take my hat off to the dog, but he doesnt look like he has taken much stick. he must have a very good technique

at what age do you start the dogs foxing
Texas tom replied to hughesrobert13's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
i wouldnt put him in without one mate misses would kill me if i come home without him she would kill me if she knew i put him anywhere near charlie. il let the dog make the decision if he wants to do it if your mrs is that bad mate id f**k her off , everytime a dog goes to ground theres a possibility that the dog might not come out again so if its gonna cause to many arguments id advise you to stay clear as ive seen dogs that are out and out bayers get in a mess when been to a fox. aint as easy as that mate lol she would understand if the dog got into a mess but she wouldnt be ha -
