Well i got a hob given to me the other day im going to be taking him out to see how he goes, I have his sister and she is an awesome worker, let's see if i can say the same for him.

Was given a ferret for free today, He is the brother to the jill i bought, she's a great worker going to be taken him out sometime soon to see how he goes and i was also given a ferret hutch for free to.

They didnt look like eggs though mate it was just a clear liquid that squirted out could have been that, I was talking to my father last night though and he said it might be idatis or something like that he said though but it's usually a milky colour.

It was a fair sized lump mate around the rib cage area. See i have no clue what it is never seen it before and i've never heard anything about it.

Russell 2 year old hob Phoebe 2 year old jill bubbles 3 month old jill, Both jills named by the missus and the hob was named by me.

I was out ferreting the other day and caught a couple of rabbits, So i was skinning them and i noticed a lump on one of the rabbits after i had removed the skin, I pierced the lump with my knife and quite alot of clear liquid came out. So i got rid of the rabbit to be safe. Could anyone tell me what this may have been?

I've seen alot of black and white rabbits and also caught a huge ginger one, An old fella i know told me its a sign of a good rabbit population and funny that because the only places i've seen different coloured rabbits is where there are heaps of them. -
I mainly use jills.

Good on ya mate , had the same thing happen to me the other day a rabbit ran into the net but managed to get out of the bloody net just as i got there.

Definately going to be sticking at it just got another property to go on 2000 acres plenty of rabbits went on a new one yesterday and also have another new one to go check out sometime throughout the week so there will be plenty of work for her.

Just like my hob roughly 2 years old never been worked he was given to me i put him down a hole he goes so far in then turns around and runs at the nets attacks them and gets himself tangled but i will find a small warren and give both of my ferrets a go in it, Might have to run them with my young jill she will show them she's a fantastic worker and only 14 weeks old.

Took the young jill out again today, she bolted three rabbits. At the first warren one of the rabbits spotted me so it went back down the hole, took a while for the ferret to make it bolt but eventually it did but bloody managed to get out of the net before i got to it, Then shortly after she bolted another then she worked that warren for a bit longer but nothing else was in there so we moved on to the next warren and she managed to get one out of that, Then after a bit she decided to start playing with the nets so i called it a day.

I use litter for my ferrets but the bloody hob lays in it the silly ol b*****d the jills won't though im forever cleaning the p***k.

Well, instead of fishing i went ferreting lol, but it was pretty dissapointing nothing in the warren i put the young ferret in she was down there for a bit but surfaced so i put her down again she kept surfacing so, i thought i would give my buck ferret a go he is two years old and was given to me and had never worked before so i put him down to see what he was like and he is absolutely useless... He walks in the bloody hole then turns around and attacks the nets then walks out and starts trying to bite everyone so i put him away. Going to see how the two year old jill i was given goes now, sh

Thanks mate i'll definately be taking her out tomorrow, i would today but going to do a bit of fishing before it gets too cold over here, but yea can't wait to take her out tomorrow.

Took my young ferret out for the second time, found a warren with 13 holes so i set everything up and put her down she flushed two rabbits out then i decided to call it a day as it was getting fairly late but, she's going good she's doing what she suppose to do very pleased with her, am going out again today to give her another go but will be out a bit longer.

What is longnetting? do you set up a large length of net and scare rabbits into it or what?
