  1. Sounds like you where! The scary thing is there is probably young naive kids out there getting new pups and believing crap like that.
  2. Please tell me you are kidding about people saying an 8 week old pup was over weight??? Those sorts of things are the reason I don't use Facebook anymore! All the best with the pup looks a cracker
  3. Welcome to the forum :-) the thing you got to remember on here is take everything with a pinch of salt. And most importantly get out in the fields enjoy your dog.
  4. Off as a pup!! My old bitch had hers left on and caused a serious injury to one leg which led to an op to take both off. This surgery went wrong and caused the bitch alot of pain that was totally unnecessary had they been nipped at a few days old, not to mention the financial cost to me!!
  5. Yeah my lads a bit uninterested most of the time but that's changing with age :-) he reckons the terrier is his so now he has to walk and work the dog to earn its keep. It working so far and I'm hoping the bond with that little dog is what will start him on the long road of the country side. What you do sounds fab, wish there was something like that round here, for me as well as him lol
  6. Id rather him be out in the field rather than sitting there doing this!!
  7. You can't beat being out in the field with your kids teaching them about everything you love, hoping they will grow up to follow :-) my lad is just starting to show an interest (if I promise him we ain't walking to far lol) he even made a rabbit chain to help mum dispatch the rabbits. I had to explain to him how we do it humanely lol. I dread to think the conversations he has with his teachers hahaha All the best finding a dog to suit although I think 90% is the upbringing and training of whatever dog you choose
  8. Here's the terrible 2 out for a walk about :-)
  9. We have a patterdale/lakie type terrier. 100% round my son but they have been brought up together. I will add he is kennelled outside during the day and in on a night and is very hyper. He's still a young dog but isn't scared to enter the thickest cover if there's game there!! Can be a bit of a twat with strange dogs but other than that we love the little shit :-)
  10. Nice looking hound hope he finds a good home, still got a few good years left in him.
  11. Bitch has now been re-homed, fingers crossed for her and thank you everyone who commented
  12. Usually just on the outskirts of hull and surrounding areas, although I do travel sometimes
  13. Ah right. Well happy hunting :-D hope you enjoy your new gun
  14. Not far at all then lol do you hunt around hull or go out of town?
  15. Could be a door away or a couple minutes lol depends where on Bev road you are :-)
  16. Hello someone may be having the bitch, I will let you know how that goes
  17. Hello there you don't live far from me then :-)
  18. Thanks everyone, finding the bitch a homes easy, it's finding the right home that's hard lol
  19. Thanks for that can't say I've even looked lol
  20. Thanks for that :-) as for stock she has lived with pet rats lol she's been walked through a game farm and seemed ok was on lead though! She's walked daily in a field that has a pen of sheep next to it and has never once gone near them. I can not guarantee her stock training as to be honest we don't encounter them all that often and I have never seen her off the lead in the same field as them. Knowing the bitch I don't think you would have a problem around stock and as a typical greyhound she walks on the lead perfect and when on the lead doesn't give any livestock a second glance. Hope t
  21. Thanks, this bitch deserves the best and I think she would make someone a handy partner
  22. Aye and there should be none of the if only you where closer bull shit :-D
  23. Bitch is the one in front chasing the rabbit :-)
