  1. Cheers Andy lol I've tried the sweets and pop seems to make him worse haha!! I ran back to send the terrier into to a spot I had just seen something crawl into and Jesus, it sounded like an elephant running behind me screaming mummy wait for me haha. Needless to say we didnt get to the patch in time to catch the thing that ran haha
  2. Cheers, don't know why the photos are so fuzzy though, think I maybe made them a bit to small lol The young one loves it just need to teach him quietness is the key and that following the terrier through the thorns is not a good idea!!!! :-D
  3. No your right you can't beat it, we never get close to much when I have him tagging along though. He's never understood how to be quits :-D lol
  4. Cheers all for the relevant replies, to all the others behave yourselves :-D haha
  5. Cheers cbx I'll pm you the problem I have at the minute though!!
  6. I have the blue dog his breeding is further back (4 years old) I have his mum the beddie whippet grey now semi retired ( about 9 year) a bull deer grey ( 2 1/2 year) a half x bull (20 month) and a patt terrier. I use my dogs for all sorts anything I can legally work with them I do ;-)
  7. Cheers staffs lol And I have no idea, all I knew was it was 243 and you pull a trigger :-) lol
  8. It's 243 Dean what I do with my dogs is up to me and only me, if I want to use them to retrieve shot foxes that I'm just to damn lazy to go and collect than I shall use them for that. The exercising, feeding and cleaning up after my dogs is just part and parcel of owning them :-) shooting a gun never can or never will give me the satisfaction I get off my dogs!!
  9. Here's the other from the same night completely killed within the law :-)
  10. The reds shot and I'm a strong lass :-) haha no you have to pose whether you have something stinking in your hand or not shame the guy taking the photo needed some photography lessons!! I'm joking by the way I have no idea while I'm stood like that lol
  11. That dog is bred bedlington whippet grey x collie grey And I can see what you mean but I don't see how starting a dog pre ban can ever dig anyone a hole I'm asking no details or for no photos just people's experience of times gone by, that's all :-) And p.s I smile at no one I'm a moody cow!!
  12. How about this one does it look photo shopped? Or would you like more??
  13. Hahaha at dean redneck I can assure you the photo is not photo shopped if you look at a thread I put on before there is also a photo of me holding the gun that shot the fox :-) you think because I'm blonde and female I can't and don't hunt???
  14. I don't mess with them, it's just general noseyness ;-)
  15. Hi all Quick question, I don't want a debate just genuine answers of people that have done it! :-) How many of you pre ban started a dog on fox single handed and what sort of failure rate, if any, did you have doing it this way? And also how many of you started them doubled up and then ran single and what was the failure rate, again if any, was there doing it this way? Would also like to hear people's opinions who have tried both ways on which they think they had the most successful rate of single handed dogs with. Thanks
  16. Yeah I know they are the best and believe me if the terrier was being dug to it would have one. Now I may just be a cheap skate but I can't justify spending that when the terrier may never even venture below ground, I just want something on him for the just incase! Cheers
  17. I was thinking along those lines I already have 8 foot boxes and ferret collars, was thinking maybe just attach a ferret collar to his collar? I have been told I can get these 8 foot boxes to read upto 15 foot. Is this true? Thanks
  18. Here's the pup! Ps I have now bought him a new collar he came with that lol
  19. Hi all I have recently aquired patterdale pup, I am hoping to have him as a terrier to work along side my lurchers but was wondering what locator and collar I would be best off getting. I obviously don't want to be spending stupid amounts if possible, as he is not going to be a ground dog but I do know accidents can and do happen and I need to know if he goes to ground I can get him out! He will be wearing the collar when out and about bushing so it needs to be sturdy and well made so I know it will be reliable if he has been out all day and then decides to get nosey :-) Any info
  20. Only in the house while he recovers from injury but he sure makes himself at home
