I had the pleasure of digging the dog Hepher posted and he was everything he says he was.Northsider not sure on the breeding of the dog but he came from down your way as far as I know.Fion nice bitch my old bitch Is very similar when stripped out but has a very heavy coat.Lovely type.As has been said Frank buck was approachable I hunted in the Lakes a long time ago and my diggin mate at the time and I travelled round the hunt kennels in the Lakes and found all,with exception of 1 huntsman very down to earth and very informative givin that we where young and unknown to them.Especially the hunts

I'm only a young lad but the lads I get to hunt with occassionnaly have 1 bitch 25ib another bitch 20ib and a dog pup 28ib and a 3 season dog 18ib.all with the exception of the 3rd season dog aren't spannable.The small holes are good for the small dog but we have never had to trench to any of the 2 grown females.just the type of ground we hunt is mostly peat and the tubes run wide.They ve dogs for jobs and even the wee 18ib dog can hold quarry no probs. My friends where saying they believe the spannable rule is applicable to russels but not black dogs as they have only had one in 15 years

The dog with the neck shaved and holes in it has a tracker in it.get someone who doesn't own dogs to go for a walk near a registered sette,bet he ll be surrounded in no time.similar device to a mobile phone.lads in Ireland had same thing done about 4 year ago.
