Dont knock the dalmation to quick there scallywag Ive known 2 that were mad hare dogs and could put a real turn on one and if it got to far away would put down with the nose and hunt right up to him again. 8. Id give both kennel space recon they would both swing on a hog real good.
  9. Tough shits them Badgers. I have heard they have killed many terrier over the years. I beleive also they gave a good acount for themselves back in the bating days I can see why a bailling dog would be a better prospect. The smooth foxterriers I owned were all kc bred dogs but their was no back down ever wether trying to stop an old boar or smashing a fox in the black berry. stevemac
  10. Having owned smooth foxterriers for about 14yrs I can tell you there was nothing soft about them. I hunted them buggers on every thing from rats to feral pigs. There was one that I bred owned By a holiday park owner he was used to keep vermin numbers down, this dog was grabbed by a dingo who must not have realised what he was doing the foxy escaped the hold then grabed the dingo and was dragged while the dingo tried to make his escape. ( countryboyo the guy owned a jack russell previous to the smooth but it was killed and eaten by the dingo.) One Bitch I owned was keen as mustered to go t

  12. jazzsaluk you mentioned your pup is a brindle is he from bagdad kennels if so I have a bitch in my yard that is farly closely related on the sires side. Good luck with the pup
  13. That crap has been all over the media over here as well. what a load of shit the media wants to take some reality pills and give them selves a good upper cut. They must take the biggest cock heads and wankers to to be journalist and edditors.
  14. I wounder some times when reading some of the posts on here how the hell you lot conquered the world. in fact im surprised you ever got of your island. Maybe its because im from australia where every thing is crossed just to see how it will go. they do use labs as bailers in nz but the ones Ive seen will lug up on the biggest pig pur or crossed. Good luck with them mate hope they work out for you, if they dont then you wont die woundering.
  15. Sold a pup to a fella once and at 10weeks he was walking it 5klms a day on hard pavement. After a couple of weeks the dog had f****d feet and pastern joints the vet and I both told him to stop but the damage had been deone and the dog was never quite right after that. I always let young dogs exersize of lead at their own pace this way they dont do more than they can handle, I find moderate exersize helps a dog reach its potential.
  16. had pur RRs for thirty years and have toyed with the Idea of ridgyx grey many times. ive used the breed for most game out here. Ridgebacks tend to suit different types of hunting depending their make up what I mean by that is that some are more inclined to gun dog work while some have more the drive of a hound while others do favour sight work. A good friend of mine had a angora goat stud her 3 ridgeback bitches accounted for many a fox around kidding season. this does not mean they were hunted on the foxes but that they patrolled around her stock and picked any they came across. I have to a
  17. not lookin for shit countryboyo but why do you beleive that the Irsh wolf hound is not a recreated breed.
  18. Well I own a saluki and a deerhound/greyhound and Ive hunted them on some big open spaces and Im still waiting for the saluki to out do the other dog. Maybe when the other dog is older and slows down a bit. stevemac

  20. should have the b*****ds for tresspass. they must have taken a leaf out of bin lardens book. he always sends the dumb f&@ks to blow themselves up while he stays home in his cave.
  21. Big bisness over here mostly driven by the greyhound industry we have off spring of the best irsh studs running all over the country over here the local buisness FROZEN PUPPIES .com are happy to collect and store seimen from any sort of dog and have very good results with the litters produced. stevemac
  22. yep allgame is right a lot of staghounds have wolfhound blood so do a lot of pig dogs the wolfhound brings a lot to the table Ie size strenght nose staminer. Very hand trats when hunting our large game that can cover incredible distances in a short time. many stags over here are only used for fox perticularly in the southern states. in the north they are also used on dingos. stevemac
