    Why is killing a few hares slaughter.Most farmers i know want rid of the hares due to lads going onto there land uninvited and running the hares with half a dozen shite lurchers.I kill every hare i see in the winter months and thats simply to keep poachers off so all this SLAUGHTER is necessary to stop poaching.

    When your setting 100-200 traps a day you dont have time to measure every trap and Moley is right about a slightly larger hole,theres a good reason for that but if i told you moley would have my balls in a mole trap Well done TeeJay,it shows you listened and watched.Keep at them moles and you will have as much money as moley one day.

    does it state on your certificate that you can shoot squirrels with your 243 ?, im restricted to deer and foxes, not that i would shoot a squirrel , cos i,m not blood thirsty, i just like to be out ,any shots are just a bonus. Totaly agree,theres is no need to show shots like that.It aint big and it aint clever and you do have to be blood thirsty to be doing that with a .243.Just my opinion

    I was lucky enough to be taught the art of gate netting by Snareman many years ago(thanks old yen).He showed me many tricks that helped put 100s of hares into the nets.He is the true master of the net and the snare.Ive also got to thank Duckwing who recently knitted me two excellent hare sheet nets made of hemp and knitted with square mesh which ide never done until Duckwing showed me . Molecatcher, i noticed that you used hazel sticks to hold your net in position.Hawthorn sticks with the bark stripped off are far better and very hard and strong and thinner than the hazel in your photo.I us

    Everyone is intitled to there opinion Oly but i aint shooting in the olympics ime shooting rabbits in the nut up to -100yds and my finnfire does that far better than me.Its all a matter of what you like really and i like the finnfire dude,cheers P.S, i do care what other people say and i respect your and everyones opinions and i know that Anschuts are a quality rifle...

    The thing is with modoraters to remember is that they are still very noisey infront of the rifle.I didnt realise this until i was up the estate a couple of years ago and my mate was zeroing his 22.250 with his new t8 fitted.when i was stood with him the gun seemed much quieter then i had to go check some fox wires in a wood about a mile away and generally in the direction he was shooting.I had to phone him on his mobile because i couldnt believe he still had the mod fitted and how loud the rifle was.The mod was still on the rifle. The main reason for a mod is for ear protection.(just a point

    Go for the Sako Finnfire mate.I bought one and they are really nice.They have a floating barrel and alovely action,smooth,quiet and quick.Dont go for semi autos,they are noisy,jam quite alot and you tend to use alot more bullets on stupid shots What ever you choose good luck mate.......
