i was refering to a animal smaller than a dog one that does not want to fight for its life but just eat grubs and such ,untill some no brain mut starts to fight it ,then EVEN BEING SMALLER it damages the dog so much the dog has to wait weeks to heal ,that dont make a dog a legend .like i said there is a lot more ,as long as you are proud to be the owner of such a dog ,thats your choice , .the dog is a no brainer like i said it was the only dog i have ever started for others that did not have what it takes ,and i have started hundreds . and i did not own him .

it can be used with 2 dogs if they are taught it from a pup, take a look at a team of collies rounding up sheep ,one can be doing its job when the others look on ,. ,but if i was seriously after rabbits NOT THAT OFTEN ,i would use one dog at a time ,i only own one dog ,i was referring to all the dogs i have owned ,they have all been taught the same from pups .

if you know the game proper ,and the dog does as well ,you dont even have the dog on the lead ,you can show it the rabbit and turn the lamp of, time it right and the dog will run steady to the rabbit in the dark and when you put the lamp on again it will be on it ,this will only be achived with practice ,all my dogs can be sent into the next field even if they cant see what i can ,they know i have sent them on some thing .it is down to training and the dogs intelligence .

dont know how he turned out ,but some one i know seen him start work ,and he was a complete waist of time , he would go missing for ages when he was let off .like i said ,it was early in his life .but it seems he turned out only good for one type of quarry ,and it was not edible .so what was the point of killing it ,with or with out a knife.

ha ha ha heard it all now!! dont talk shite fella that dog has not caught all that at 12 months ive seen dogs kill alot more than that at 12 months old so it is possible pal are you 100% sure fella?? i think your both telling porkies no dog has caught 54 rabbits 2 hares 2 foxes and a roe doe single handed by 12 months and thats a fact!! but please enlighten me if im wrong!! one fact that is wrong then . -
the ban on hunting wild life with running dogs will be changed on the 1st of APRIL 2010 you will be aloud to go any where and kill any thing ,but only for 1 day .

at WHAT age can YOU tell if a lurcher is ANY GOOD or not?

between 6 and 9 months .all depends on the breed -
a mix including alsation .

it will never change to be of any help to the lurcher world ,if and when it ever changes ,it will all be licensed and only packs of hounds owned and run by so called professional people will be issued with a license to hunt .just wait and see .
