    yes i agree it is mostly about the thrill of the chase .but the thrill comes from the dog that tryes the hardest but if it was just about chasing things why not just run a sight hound . the reason a lurcher was bred was for the cunning a dog that will think about its quarry,s next move to out wit it . you say a dog was bred to chase things the dog was actually bred to hunt and keep its masters belly full but like you say everyone has there own opinion and the guy who was running the lure on the days opinion was that he didn,t need the gates i also thought the show was a good show and c

    i didn,t say thats how it should be done , i said lets just say ????? but whitch is the better dog the one that caught it or the one that ran it .. if i was out with my dogs they would be on a lead and it would be slipped single handed .... on rabbits but if your are simulating a course why have gates its only a bit of fun , no cash or quary involved . i would be more pissed if the other dog had stole the hare ,, if there ever was one

    if your dog was out with you on the fenns and a hare jumped up and lets just say you and your mates dog were loose .. both dogs put in a very good acount of them selfs but one dog stuck to hare like glue following every bend through the gaps in the hedge where ever the hare went ... but the other wiser dog cut across and stole the hare from under the other dogs nose ... would you then say thats not on ..the other dog should be disqualified . or is it just a better dog it is corsing after all thats what its all about

    I drove past the site yesterday, will be bringing the gang to camp fishing and club looks top notch , pub up the road to ,great choice of site see you there it will be good to put some faces to the names on here ,
