  1. Sorry about that^ Had a similar experience, the one and only time my local Councilor has been of use. Take/send any paperwork to your one...will be sorted
  2. I find some Glaswegians boring...not the lovely old joiner who did my floors though - good with the boards so he was.
  3. RIP Bill - a true gentleman, scholar, legend and authority of the game. They will be mourning in the streets of Hawick tonight
  4. thanks joe just what i needed whilst eating my dinner      Shephound...was'nt curry was it? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article416391.ece
  5. The one: Is this the case you are thinking of? http://www.actionforgreyhounds.co.uk/news.asp?article=82
  6. You are all right! Who would buy a new car? Minute it's off the forecourt you have lost £££, never mind the 'new scheme', we all knew, new is a con long before that. So same old, same old - had to buy a reasonably 'new to me car' start of last year, got offered variable amounts on the old one without any salesman actually moving from his air conditioned showroom - was thankful for the a/c - reeking of aftershave each and everyone (probs. to cover the smell of bullsh!t). So whats to gain? My son has couple of auld cars, older than him! VW's not a sign of rust, he's into all the gubbi
  7. She's quiet, but I bet she has another side to her. Lol

  8. Many, many thanks for all your input everyone, I really do appreciate it. I have no doubts about my neighbors caring for a dog, have known them for a long time - lady in particular is lovely and seen me through a hard time a bit ago, in those times I would rather have been left alone, but she would always be over with some excuse - 'Ooh I cooked too much chicken could the dogs or ferrets eat it',...'I seem to have ended up with 'free' tickets to the cinema, do you think the children could use them?' etc., etc. I'm not that daft! Pay back time for me to help her out methinks! Called he

  10. Probably the wrong section so forgive me I have looked, unsure of where to ask. Deal is I live on the outskirts of town, had no problems, 'next door' is 600 yards away, their property is the end of the road to drive, there is a footpath through the woods past their house that links back to the town. Long and short, they have been done over recently for the 4th time! They are quite well to do, he is a right tosser must be said, they are close to retirement, she is lovely and so scared especially when he is away working. They had the police in each time, blah, blah, now CPO is now drawin
  11. I have been having a look on here for a wee while, I like the forum, but feel I don't have much to contribute although I enjoy reading and learning. I lost my partner a few years ago (not through my usual carelessness I may add, key's etc., fair enough). His life and love was 'our' working dogs- at the time they went to his best friend, I kept the retired house dogs. If you see me looking at your post or topic, please do not think I am gathering information on you or whatever, I am just most probably enjoying seeing the pictures of your dogs or enjoying the banter.
