    Thanks for the advice guys, interesting view on the T8 moderator, have been told that they are prone to rusting so I may steer clear. Thanks again for the advice.

    Hi everyone, i'm currently in the market for my first centre fire rifle. I have visited my local firearm dealer who has offered me a Tikka T3 Light in .223. I'm no expert but the rifle appears to be in good condition and appears to have been well looked after. It is currently fitted with a T8 moderator, however stamped on the moderator is '308'. I would have thought that the moderator should have been stamped {.223}. Is this anything to be concerned about?. I'm quite keen to buy the rifle but this is putting me off. Any advice would be well received.

    Hi everyone, I have recently been approved for a .223 centre fire. Untill now I have been shooting a .17HMR which is a lovely little rifle but I feel somewhat lacking for Mr Fox. I have considered a Browing A - Bolt 2 and Remington 700, however I have come across a rifle i'v never heard of or read much about...........a Howa 1500 Varmint...........does anyone have any working knowledge of this rifle?. Not sure what one to go for, any advice or opinions anyone?
