  1. This might interest some deerstalkers on here and opportunity to get lev 1 and Lev 2 as cheap as i have seen it and with regards lev two an opportunity to learn and shoot deer within the cost of every normal person. We now have a few members on this site that can deliver Level one training and exam also level two training and AW Stalk direct. The Level 1 training will be done through Barony Collage (http://www.barony.ac.uk/Courses/Default.aspx?pid=35 ) The contact at the collage is Rachel Murray. You can reach her during normal working hours on. 01387 860251 ANDREW
  2. [i AM SURE IT IS EVERY STALKERS DREAM TO SHOOT GOLD AND I AM SURE IF I EVER GET ANOTHER POTENTIAL GOLD I WILL NOT GET ALISTER TROOP TO MEASURE IT This one i got a few weeks back and i am sure will make a medal
  3. [That will do it GSMITH AND MOST WILL DO IT THAT WAY SOME WILL USE A POWERE WASH TO WASH THE MEAT OFF. If YOU ARE DOING THE FULL SCULL I WOULD AFTER A FEW MINUTES TAKE THE HEAD OUT THE WATER AND GIVE THE BRAINS A REALLY GOOD STIRING UP WITH A SCREW DRIVER OR SIMILAR AND THEN PUT BACK IN TO BOIL.
  4. [Only only presumed that you new the score of the head you shot and said in one of your previous posts that your head weighed out at a silver. Christal balls i might have but no Christal ball ( FOXHUNTER WROTE)Ive got a silver in the cupboard , wonder what it would fetch ??????????
  5. [i hope it wasn't Alister Trumpet from Stirling he could measure his cock .I though he had been took of the CIC measureing team. With regards it going gold i am sure it will time will tell. Foxy had a gold that went silver also ha ha
  6. [Home office guidelines say that the 6.5 x 55 is the best suitable calibre for the all round rifle. so if it is to be your only CF then it is not a worries but a recommendation. ps i have one and cant see buy it and have most of the common calibres.
  7. I will bet old bushy tail new what he was doing and has a nice big buck waiting for him round the next corner. Cull buck shooting is to me as satisfying as medals. Well done David and let me know the next time your going down to Tony the hawk chaps ground so i can brief him with what is in season and what is not
  8. [No one will know for sure if some of the barking did not come from the odd doe unless the see it but at this time of year the does are very quite and the bucks are very vocal. This time of year and again come the rut end of July time. Does are more vocal when alarmed and will give off more of a repeated bark eg ( bow - bow - bow )while moving off . Were as the males territorial bark is a single loud ( bow,a ) he will wait for a reply and challenge again you can get them going your self if you give a good interpretation of a buck.
  9. [it might of cast a few bob but royal mails the one rap-pit well and send it .I Have sent a good few down south never any problems.
  10. [it depends on the amount of bucks in the area i have found that on my ground with a good many mature bucks that there will always be a bit of extra barking. Just there way of making sure that there territorial border in not breached.
  11. The weight is certainly there Dave might have been better to put a measuring tape up the side that's were a lot of the points are scored i shot a head last season its wet weight was 683 and it finished at 603 still made gold but only just making 130.7. his length was 26.5 cent
