Try giving some glucose as a boost when they die its usually starvation that does it might be enough to get them eating again -
think you've dug them up too early mate done the same a few years ago with some golden wonders always wait till mid september now havn't had a problem since

Hi Sam i had to get the spade out this morning and dig a trench from the middle of one pen to the outside to reach a ditch ,about 40 yards in total . It rained like hell all night until about 5am the sun is now splitting the trees christ what a country one thing the weather is never boring up here. Good health Hoolit glad its just not us in ayrshire with s**te weather -

they,re is a chance of diseaese but i would personaly just mix the 2 older lots of birds as they'l be eating grains now and keep the younger ones seperate as they will still be eating grower pellets also the older ones could be trickle released any time now good luck, george -

thats just the foliage dying back wont do your spuds any harm if its a wet summer i tend to cut the shoots off as soon as the potatoes are big enough this stops blight washing off the leaves into the ground an old market gardener taught me that seems to work iv never had blight (touch wood)

we used to hang empty feed bags from trees in and around the pen and make sure there's plenty of cover for them to hide in still lose an odd one tho
