  1. Hi Guys, Anyone know where I can source the likes of these in the UK?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230767586473?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260829428081?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  2. I have seen some Krieghoff K80's with a broken clay on the top latch, it is not the complete top latch but rather a stick on piece. Anyone know where to get these? The complete top latch is extremely expensive.

  4. When you say variation, have you got a .22LR on your permit and just changing it to the ruger 10/22? If so, you should have it back between 1-3 months. Have seen this happen for the same calibre rifle within 2 weeks. Though if you havent already got a .22LR on your FAC, it will take at least 4 months. They are working very quick at the moment, i had a rifle, 2 shotguns and 3 silencers added a few months ago, got it all back in 4 months.
  5. I have a .22LR varmint finnfire, extremely accurate, for a little .22! I have a .17HMR quad and is not in the same league either!!
  6. Have a Reflex T8 Mod on my Steyr .243, excellent mod, prob cost around the £230 mark.
  7. I've cancelled my order and went back to the drawing board, cancelled purely on aesthetics as i couldnt warm to the look of the rifle. I like a rifle to be tasty. To give you an idea of what I have, a 22.Lr Sako Finfire varmint, .17HMR Sako Quad, .243 Steyr Classic half stock. I will start a new thread with my options for advice.
  8. I've made my order, Remington 700 Varmint SF. The 204 has proven to be a difficult caliber to find in a nice rifle. Think i've made the right choice, thanks for all your help guys!
  9. I am after a .204 for foxing and was initally looking at it in a Sako 85, not available and then tried to get it in the Winchester Model 70 Coyote Light - again, not available, apparently browning never made a 204 for the UK market. Anyone know of any rifle similar to the winchester/sako available in 204? I have looked at the Remington 700 Varmint SF, but not sure if im keen on it. I know aesthetics are not important and wont affect performance, but they are to me in any gun I buy. I really liked the look of the Winchester! Failing that I may just go for the winchester in 22-250.
  10. Just been looking at the stock on my gun. When you loosen the nut that holds the stock on, an insert comes out - the grounding that the pad screws into. I believe that I could cut a 1/2 inch off the shell of the stock and the insert would still fit in. Anyone ever had a look at this?
  11. Wanted to remove the ejectors from my MK38 to clean behind them. Anyone know how to remove these?
  12. Anyone know where I can get a black synthetic short stock kit for a 391 urika??? A company in America used to make them but discontinued them. Need to reduce from trigger to heel to about 14" Cant do this with standard stock and slim pad. All help greatly appreciated.
  13. Have a grade 3 mk38 trap myself - love it and it will never leave my possession!! Quality guns at sensible money!
  14. Im putting a schmidt and bender 8x56 25mm on this new sako synthetic quad .177 and had a set of warne mounts and bases for it. Was hoping to use them. Will just have to go for the warne ones to suit the dovetail then. Awaiting the gun coming in to clarify this, been a while since dealer sold one and he cant remember what it takes. Thanks anyway
  15. I was wondering if warne bases can be put on a sako quad to accept warne rings? Or does it just have a dovetail?? Anyone have one that knows?
  16. I need to break in the barrel on my .243, any recommendations? I'm intending to use Remington 75 gr accutips so is there any point in trying to break it in with moly coated bullets?
  17. I have bought a new Steyr Mannlicher Classic half stock in .243. I ordered this rifle due to its very nice aesthetics and said I'd never thread it, that it was too nice to add a silencer. Well it just wont be practical if I dont so Im thinking of putting a T8 on it. Anyone recommend any other silencers?? Also, what is the run of the mill for the price of these and how much usually to thread the gun? Apparently the gun doesnt need proofed if using a T8.....?
  18. Thanks for the advice guys. i have been told that there may be a fixed version available - will find out at some point this week. Do they come standard with screw cut??
  19. Im thinking of buying a .17HMR Sako Quad synthetic. Im alittle bit sceptical about the fact that barrels are interchangeable. Can anyone reassure me as to the accuracy with these? Or is there a quad version that you can buy with a fixed barrel?? I have no intentions of changing barrels and am wanting the quad as it is very similar to my .22 Finnfire. All advice welcome
  20. cz american is looking likely, though id love something with a twisted barrel. Is the varmint barrel really required in this round for accuracy??
  21. Im thinking of buying a .17HMR, but cant see anything that I really like. I like the more traditional style rifles, nice wood, half stock, no laminates etc. To give you an idea, I have a SAKO finnfire .22LR and a STEYR Classic half stock in .243.............so im after something in a similar stlye to these. Are there any rimfires out there that would have a twisted (outer) barrel like my STEYR?? All help and advice appreciated!!!
