Hi Martin ...Thanks for reply....i have already disposed of the carcass....will know the next time to take a pic first ....cheers Davy Sounds like the cystic stage of the dog tapeworm TAENIA OVIS , see it occasionally at work in sheep ( Meat inspector ) , you did the right thing disposing of the carcase , and DONT give it to the dogs , you will start the cycle over again.As for the large lump it sounds like an abscess . atb Brian

  8. A superb litter of 3 dogs 3 bitches , bitches all white with a brown tip to ears, dogs mostly white with 2 having black marks on head and the other brown marks . Parents are top class HARD working dogs taking all legal quarry !!!. PM for any further info , £100 for what will be a great little dog

  10. My lab is a shit for eating Ket , and at 14 years his guts arent what they were, and he is ill again , dont really want to go to vets again (just yet ) any advice . Starving for 24 hours at the moment ( this didnt work last time ) Thanks Brian
  11. Have just started my 2 ESS on a green tripe diet (sheep tripes) with dry food , question is how much tripe to give daily
  12. Heres my first of 2010 , taken today and promptly rolled 70 yds down a steep muddy bank .The result was me hauling this fella out ( bloody hard graft)and getting more mud on myself than the bank . Had to change into some spare waterproofs to drive home in . Worth every sweat soaked minute

  17. Out for a walk with a mate this morning , saw about 12 roe in two groups but they were very jumpand they eventually disappeared into a wooded area at the bottom of the valley . After a while we decided that my pal would go to the bottom of the wood and walk back up through it and try to push them out, so I could maybe take a shot . It all worked a treat , resulting in this nice doe taken at 155yds

  19. Yes: From a 'former' 17HMR user. Get a Dewey rod from 'Midway UK' (Brace yourself £35+), make sure it's not to long/short, check your rifle's barrel length! Then from Rimfire magic get 'some' brushes and a couple of jags, I say 'some' brushes i.e. 4 or 5 at least as they don't last very long as the bristles are very short and bend over and cease to function after 4 or 5 uses! Also I really recommend that you get a bore guide, if youve got BRNO then 'easy peasy' either way Rimfire Magic web site has the 'stuff'for most common rifles.   22. Do you refer to me?. This is the first time i have shot at game this year & as i do loads of beating/picking-up. As i said i lifted 10+ & only shot 2 to check them out as they have been fine on shots i go to they are plump woodcock all in. I must admit some looked weak & i know the diffrence from an unsporting woodcock to a sporting one as these birds are a passion of mine to shoot. I have shot for 21yrs & keeperd within quite a heavy commerical programs so have learn & seen alot of action & met many people with knowledge to pick there views & ideas to give me a wea
