    i had that problem with me debem mk1 feret finder .... wud onli read upta 3 or 4 foot then it went off nd has stopped working !

    I have personally witnessed a male patterdale terrier bring a live little black fox cub out of a den once ... and my spaniel once retirevied a live skylard chick sat on his tounge took it back to the nest unharmed

    all you want for rock spots are dogs that out and out bolt foxes ... rock spots are horrible places to have your dog stuck

    i am a fan of the way that patterdales look especially nuttalls old stock i also like a well built rough coated russell ... i personally have a lakey ... my man is right about the lakey x pats seeming to be ever popular ... go for what ever breed takes your fancy ... dont get a hard dog because when it does get stuck in its left in the kennel to heal ... and not out working .... you also get a few funny looks when out walking it ....get ya self a lakey pal ... i like to see them working !

    Yeh ... i ve bought a live cage trap am setting it tonite ... my pup took a bite off one of me ferrets through the bars of the cage and now bays at them ... wondering if she will kill a rat or not hoping she will rap it up ... would you suggest lettin the rat out .... or shooting it with a air weapon nd let the dog finish it ??

    Wasnt at home much mate ... but usually go shooting in northumberland quite a dry season bar from the snow and ice which i thort made the pheasants hold well in the woods also brought alot of woodcock in .... great season from my point of view

    Ye pal youre right about the season coming to an end ...... im hoping to have it attached to the spade next season but i ment .... showing it how to go about killing rats squirrels and mink .... you know what i mean ?

    Areet everyone .... im 18 years old and live in sunderland ..... i have a 6 and a half month old lakeland terrier bitch called lola .... want to make her a working terrier as i am trainin to become a gamekeeper i know nobody in my immediate area with an already experienced terrier for my pup to learn from ... if any one could help me out please reply

    Netwon rigg is the one my man i live in sunderland and made a rash decision to go to myerscough the tutor is ill equipt and im learning my trade from keepers on indsutry experience and other class mates i wish i had gone to newton rigg i might have been able to keep my labb there ........ at scough its terrible where basically doing manual labour for high fly collect eggs !

    the first third fourth nd fifth are beautiful stamps of dog ... would go well across lurchers and make fantastic drawing dogs well done on such a good stamp of dogs

    Areet everyone ..... new member from sunderland in the north east just wanting to know if anyone works terriers and luchers in the sundeland area ... i do more shooting and am just getting into the terrier and lurcher work seen. Am at college in Lancashire studying National Dipolma Gamekeeping and COuntryside Management ....
