  3. When i go to feed ferts i tap the framework of the court whilst whistling and calling them and they know its food time. I have always done this since i have owned ferrets, so when I am working them and i want them to come out i bang on the entrance to the warren whilst whistling and calling for them(anyone passing by must think i am a right numpty with my head stuck down a hole shouting ). To be honest it don't work every time but each time it does work it saves a dig. ATB Mick

  15. Thanks for replying mate. Just general how to do. Only got a dozen full body decoys and a flapper at moment but going for more on friday along with a cammo net. Just want to know how far from hide to put out decoys, spacing, numbers of decoys, patterns etc. As i said we have never attempted this before so are going into it completely blind. Would have done more homework on the subject but only got phone call to go about 45 minutes ago.
  16. Hi, my mate and i have just acquired a bit pigeon shooting but have no idea about setting up decoys or patterns. Pigeons have been dropping on to stubble fields but have now turned their attention to the rape fields(plants are only an inch or two high) Haven't been to farm yet and the information is from the farmer so don't really know numbers of birds involved he said he just wants rid. Any experienced pigeon shooters out there willing to give me some advice? it would be greatly appreciated. ATB Mick
  17. Still a few round here. Had 4 hop out of a warren last weekend and one decided to turn round and hop back in before i could stop it. It met my young jill coming in the oposite direction
  18. Hi john, please pass on my best wishes to Col for a speedy recovery. ATB Mick
  19. Would say about 75% of mine are 3ft and 25% are 4ft. All are hemp at the moment but have just started to make them from spun poly and going to try them next time out. Find hemp better when working warrens with cover (gorse, brambles etc). Never had a problem with them rotting, just make sure you hang them up to dry after using them. ATB Mick
  20. So I think I've got this right. Their 5/16 Bull, 5/16 Mastiff and 6/16 Grey. Looks right to me 5/16 Bull, 5/16 Mastiff & 3/8 Grey
  21. By his LEFT hand there is the outline of a four legged animal, is this what we are looking for?
