  1. Nice one, looks well made. Fitting a kill switch is good advice also heep an eye on how hit it's getting or you'll melt the motor. I don't do runs longer than about 100m with mine because of the heat isssue...the motors not meant to be used for more than 10 seconds at a time.
  2. No I bait Badgers all the time. Come and see me do some this weekend why don't you? You can invite your Police and antis friends to come along with you, it will be a right laugh!
  3. Pound for pound yes but I wouldn't consider a sub 30lb Badger 'a match' for a 60lb Bull terrier, a good test of gameness yes, not a match.
  4. Not yet mate, haven't got a camera so I need to get someone else to do it. As for the link above, apparently there's only one test for a Bull and Terrier
  5. So you want people to come on a forum and tell you all about the illegal stuff they've been up to? Good luck.
  6. What you hunting then? I'm sure the antis would love to hear all about it
  7. She's a stunning girl, proper Dog
  8. Hang on a minute, you're saying that you took her out once at less than a year old and you haven't done anything with her since and you've got the cheek to tell me about graft? My Dog grafts most days of the week but as you don't know me you wouldn't know anything about that.
  9. You're making incorrect assumptions about what I do with my Dogs and the Dogs I've owned, the bit about "bits of wood" says it all.
  10. A few went to working homes. Your right 2 went to working homes...one home in wales and one in brum. There are others
  11. You've just proved the point I was making and backed up what I said, you've already re-homed one that the owners couldn't handle, they're most certainly not for everyone and I would never recommend one as a pet. Most people haven't got the patience, time or dedication that I put into my Dog. As you now say, contradictory to what you said earlier, it's a Dog bred for work. Even before I got him I was a very capable owner as anyone who knows me will tell you so don't try and boy me off please Mickey, I know my stuff and it's not because I read lots of books.
  12. To be honest hog dog ,i think your talking out your hole, endurance was not a quality required for baiting? thats why all the trial lads walked their dogs every night and had them hard as rocks is it? or was it just to make them look well? LOOKS NEVER MADE A DOG. If you know what you're talking about then you and I have a different view of what endurance is.
  13. You must be crazy recommending this line of Dogs as pets, most people couldn't handle them and they'd all end up in rescue centres or being put down. If you really know these dogs you'd realise that promoting them like that is irresponsible.
  14. I never slagged him off, I slagged his Dogs off He's actually a very nice bloke and I have had good conversations with him and I think we established a mutual respect for each other's views. He also gave me his contact details if I ever want to contact him because he doesn't get involved with all this forum shit and I can understand why. Delaney's Dogs were bred to be very bully and powerful with massive heads and as such they were everything I hate about exaggeration in modern dogs. That's not to say that they didn't excel at what they did, endurance was not a quality required for baitin
  15. Have you done much work with an ingles Bull?
  16. I think you've got the wrong end of the stick, I never said that Hinks fought his Dogs. If you think they're that soft why is their blood used in some of the toughest hunting dogs in the world? (Dogos, Bull Arabs, Pit Bulls etc not discounting the Gull Terr). Far more than just a show Dog.
  17. bullshit mate it might be wrong in this day and age in britain but if you have a love for bull breeds then you must have some respect for what the were originally used and bred and if it wasnt for the men of old game testing them then we wouldnt have game little terriers around today if im right. and i dont agree with the quotes about the greyhound aswell most wont do fox once they have a few nips a friend did have a big black greyhound bitch that took everything unfortunatly never came in season to line it to his wheaton. buy the way nice dog iv fancied one of them ingles bull terriers bit pr
  18. I've not seen a Badger trial in the flesh but I've seen videos and I've talked to people that have been involved in it and even Ray Delaney says that he doesn't consider them a match for a good Bull and Terrier. If you're talking about matching a 50-60lb Bull Terrier to a Badger then the odds are stacked in favour of the dog and I've heard of matches like this lasting less than a minute...not really 'a match' IMO. If you're talking about a 30lb dog then it's obviously very different. The main issue is size difference.
  19. I'm enjoying the discussion too, it makes a nice change to the bickering that normally goes on here. The Bull Terrier does have a history of fighting but I personally don't class it as a fighting Dog, the fact that it was used and proved itself adequately in the pit proves that it was a versatile breed and that's what I think Hinks was trying to achieve. For the same reason I don't think that it was meant to be an "out and out hunting Dog" either. I didn't actually buy him as a hunting Dog, I bought him solely to compete in athletic competitions and all being well he'll be competing at
  20. It would be good to see these rabbits round by you if they smash your bullterrier up PMSL, it looks like he took a tumble on hard ground because he was covered in cuts and grazes. Either that or he ran into something. They're certainly not bite marks. I don't let him loose on anything but Rabbits.
  21. He was REALLY hard work to train and tested me to my limits. He needed a firm hand but he also needed a positive approach. He's still hard work when he gets too excited but he's a clever fella and will catch on quickly to whatever you teach him. Certainly not a Dog for beginners...even though I liked to think I knew how to train a Dog he forced me to become a better owner. I did get frustrated at times and it's easy to blame the Dog, it just required a bit of humility on my part to admit that my own skills were lacking and that I needed to brush up a bit. It took some time but his obedience is
  22. I agree, to understand the Bull Terrier you have to understand other breeds too. You also have to be able to sort truth from fiction.
  23. BTW I'm not suggesting that my Dog or any other Dog from this line lacks drive. Anyone who knows them will know that you can't get more drive in a Dog.
