  1. Three examples: 1) The OP pursues a deer from his legal permission on to a neighbours farm where he has no legal permission, shoots and kills the deer the deer belongs to the OP and not either landowner. 2) The OP shot a deer on his legal permission, the deer ran on to the neighbours farm alive, if the OP was to follow up on the deer he would be committing a poaching offence, but after he had killed the deer the deer would still belong to the OP. 3) If the OP shot the deer on his legal permission, the deer ran and died on the neighbours farm as a direct result of the OP's shot ta
  2. Good point and an interesting question. If it were me, I would use this line to make a decision on the spot: '...An offence is not committed if the perpetrator did so in the belief that he would have been given consent if the owner or occupier knew of his doing it and the circumstances,...'
  3. Same here, not much about but on call. Start of the buck season too
  4. Sell/dispose of correctly your SAK. One for one variation of your FAC to clear the slot. Purchase new mod and let firearms know within 7 days.
  5. Also, although wild deer belong to nobody, once shot, the venison belongs to the landowner where the carcass is. Therefore if a deer is shot on your permission but runs onto someone else's land before expiring it belongs to them. You should liaise with the surrounding landowners and see if they would mind you following up a deer on their land, then you'll know for sure.
  6. best of luck, hope all goes well, Cheers mate. Done a bit of potential question revision tonight and smashed out the BDS gralloch DVD to make sure I'm not missing anything
  7. Got my first AW stalk tomorrow and am really looking forward to it. No nerves as yet and an early night on the cards ,
  8. I seem to remember Hornets having some sort of feed problems, hense the Hornet K. They can be fiddle to reload too, thin necks.
  9. Unfortunatly the wood is some what bland and i had my hear set on a green synthetic stock i just love how they look but as a lefty they seem to be hard to come buy and the cost of a new stock could almost pay for a scope on my centerfire when (and if) i get it granted George In that case go for it. Remember that paint jobs are only as good as the preparation. Moxy has the right idea at posy #2. How's the CF app going by the way?
  10. Well done lad. Looks like that little .410 is doing you proud. What carts you putting through it?
  11. My CZ HMR had a lovely bit of wood on it. If it has a nice grain don't paint over it, strip, sand and oil .
  12. What happens now is that everyone recommends you what they have sooooooooo... .222 Remington will sort you out no probs
  13. Come on then, don't keep it to yourself, wha ya get?
  14. Why don't you consider .222? Great on foxes and low on powder so ecomomical enough to use regularly on rabbits.
  15. Normally I put 40grn Blitzkings through my Triple with devastating effect on rabbits and Charlie. Anyway, having seen the Barnes VG on youtube I thought I'd give them a go to see if they came up to the mark. They zeroed well with a .5" group at 100yds, but field testing didn't live up to expectations. Don't get me wrong, all the bunnies dropped dead with an apple sized exit hole, but with a vision of exploding varmints in my mind they didn't perform like I was hoping they would. So, I'll be using them all up slow time, taking out the long range bunnies but will stick to the BK's when th
  16. Hand made eh? Not a router in sight . Looks like a nice bit of wood too, can't wait to see the finished item, keep us informed.
  17. I have a Carbon Tipton .22-.264 rod. Does everything (including my 6.5) apart from the rimmy. 6.5mm equates to .264" by the way
  18. I'm not sure I agree with this (or it's certainly not the case in North Yorks). You must let them know you have sold/purchased within 7 days to be free, variations to clear slots (1 for 1) can then be done at any time.
