Thanks for the advice. I have got some Sako gameheads 55gr to try first. How much is the conversion kit I may buy it to try but I will probably sell it on because I dont mind the weight.

I dont intend to use 5.56. I did read all the horror stories when I was doing research into a .223 before purchasing the rifle.

When the FEO came to my house he said that he would grant me a CF if I had a mentor. Assuming your FEO is from South Wales Police I would guess that he would give you the same answer If you ask for a CF. Good luck

If you had a choice of a remington 700 sps tactical or a tikka t3 which would you choose? Both these rifles are a similar price at my local rfd. Thanks for your views.

South Wales Police I applied for FAC and SGC with South Wales Police the visit was arranged in two weeks, ticket was in my hand within four weeks all calibers I applied for were granted. Also the staff in the office are helpful. . Who is the FEO you had a bad experience with SS? -

Hi im Alex from South Wales. I currently hunt with air rifles but my application for FAC and SGC is currently being processed. Learnt quite a bit from this forum already. Providing my FAC gets granted I should hopefully be posting some fox pics soon .
