It's an EJ230, I believe it's the same spec as the e700 but in a bullet camera format. To be honest I think you can do a neater build with an e700.

It's a UniqueFire T20 running an 850nm Oslon black with a 66mm Crelant head.

It works very well considering the low cost to build, range is over 200 yards although you can pick up eyshine a lot further.

I decided to build a DIY NV rig a few months back, it's very similar to Rolaids design and is very effective despite the low cost to put together. I think I've been bitten by the DIY NV tinkering bug so I'm already ordering bits to put together a scope-less system.

I decided to brave the wind and rain last night and go out after my first fox. I arrived at the farm around 10pm, it was quite foggy and the range of the blitz 240 was cut down to around 100 yards. After about half an hour at the farm the fog started to clear. Scanning across a field I picked up a pair of eyes, I extended my Harris bipod out to full length to take a sitting shot. I located the eyes and cranked the zoom up to confirm that it was a fox, but I couldnt take the shot because like an idiot I hadnt fitted my lens covers to my scope and there was a lot of water on the lens. My charger started to do this so I bought a new battery thinking it was that not taking a charge. It turned out its a fault with the charger, it still charges batteries but the both lights are always on. You can normally see the green light starting to dim after a few hours I left mine on for 9 hours but both lights were still on, still charged the battery though.

Just like firing a precharged air rifle.

I normally set up my bipod with a rear bag, remove the bolt from the rifle, centre the bore on the target adjust crosshair to match this. You should then at least be on the paper at your chosen distance, I then fine tune the adjustments. Hope this helps.

What battery do you use for yours and how long does it last? I have got a spare 12v 7ah battery but I think it may be to small.

After using a mates T3 Lite I would say its a better option if you will use it on foot a lot. The Remington 700 Tactical weighs a ton, it is a good and accurate rifle but is not designed with day long walking in mind. Everything else in the Rem 700 range is lighter. Yes, absolutely, if you spend a lot of time on foot the T3 lite wins every time over the Rem 700 Tactical, but there are plenty of other Remingtons to look at!! Agreed there are plenty of other 700's in the range, just dont buy the heaviest one like I did and then add a scope, mod, bipod and a lamp. Nevermind i

I've got a Remington 700 Tactical in .223 its very accurate out of the box. One thing I would suggest is to consider the weight of the rifle because when you start adding bits eg mod, bipod and a scope it can become heavy.

I saw a programme on sky once where they showed that photo of the young boy to a big cat expert. In his opinion if a big cat hit him in the face it would have taken his head off.
