  1. I'll always remember years ago when I got my Franchi semi auto and was feeding it on Baikal / Record cartridges. At a local clay club shooting near to dusk the flames coming out when the cartridges eject was very impressive. The lads with their posh O/Us and expensive cartridges werent too impressed though
  2. I have an "open" certificate and when I asked my local force for fox with a 308 , I was told it wouldn't happen as it was too much. So they told me to put in a variation for a .243 and a .22lr. Put paperwork in and had it back in 2 days fully authorised. Was surprised they told me 308 was too much , asit was a perfect alrounder when I used it in Germany.
  3. Welcome to the site, check regularly as there are sometimes last minute opportunities to go out.
  4. I really need to check the site more regularly, another opportunity possibly missed. Good offer though , I hope you had some takers!!!
  5. Hello, Text sent , hopefully you got it. If not let me know and i'll ring you.
  6. I got one when I bought my X-bolt from Swillington. Not quite as quiet as my Wildcat, but the difference is hardly noticable. Size is quite a bit smaller so in my opinion works out better. No complaints whatsoever. Also got a third eye one piece weaver mount for the rifle as well. Build quality on both is excellent.
  7. For what its worth, they were only bought february last year while I was serving in Germany, cost nearly 10 euros a box over there. For a 36 gram cartridge from a reputable company I hardly think £5.75 is top money. If I get no takers i'll keep them and they will get used eventually!!!!
  8. Just checked the boxes, they are by Rottweil and labeled Special 36. Too long a time spent in Germany. I think RWS /Geco now own Rottweil anyway.
  9. I have some boxes of the above cartridges for sale. 36 grams of number 7 lead shot. Good pigeon cartridge, however I don't really get the time to go out myself lately. Looking for £5.75 per box of 25. Pick-up only from South East Northumberland. Usual Certificate / legal requirements apply.
  10. Blade1of1, please explain!!! its been a long day

  12. I used S&B in 308 whilst hunting in Germany. Got a great deal from Frankonia,180gn Barnes solid copper bullets. Should have been 54 euros for 20, reduced to 19, so I bought 300. Accurate and hard hitting ,used well for roe and Boar. Cannot fault S&B for the price.
  13. Thanks for the responses, as said already opinion varies so it's down to the individual. I think i'll now do a full resize initially, then neck size. Again thanks for all the opinions.
  14. Found a website over the water , and most of the yanks reckon all they do is neck size their cases to ensure roundness. I think i'll go for this option as it'll save stressing the cases unnecessarily by full sizing. Cheers for the replys
