top piece of advice i thought should be mentioned. get a ferret finder and learn how to make your own nets. i started making mine this year and there is nothing like it, next best thing to being out in the field. also think about getting a longnet, speak to molecatcher on here about that, he also has a great book called "longnetting from peg to peg. you could also try watching some clips on youtube

young people just dont want to go out and get dirty and hunt things. for me this was a part of my life from the age of 10. nothing quite like slowly stalking a rabbit from 100 yards and then getting close enough for a shot let alone getting a kill. lets just hope there are a few young ones out there that feel the same

hi i live in norfolk and have a lot of land to cover with ferrets and nets in the new season. i am offering a chance of showing a newbie how i hunt and to help get them started. under 16 will need a parent with them for peace of mind. if you can get here on the days i go out you are welcome to come along. will involve some digging. pm me for more details

i use cod liver oil instead of ferretone. they go mad for it. i just put a but on my finger and they lick it off. if ya not too trusting of ya ferrets do it through mest to start with

i have 4 boat rods that i have not used in a year and a half so have decided to get rid of them. the rods are 1 daiwa megaforce 20lb class used 3 times and in great condition 1 dam megalight 30lb class old and not a looker in any way but works well 1 fladen paxton trolling rod used about 10 times and great for uptide fishing 1 leeda sea power uptide 4-10oz in good condition collection only due to size will swap for anything to do with ferreting or looking for £45 cash for the lot. i also have a mitchell captian 624 multiplier somewhere and if i can find it i will throw th

it could be rats, last year at harvest time i went on holiday, when i came back a week later 10 of my chickens had been killed in the way you said but they where bantams. my mate that was looking after the chickens shot 1 rat while it was eating the chook

my first one was 11 then 13 then 15 meshes wide and 21 long using a 2" spacer, it took 2 hours. now i have made 18 i am down to just under an hour each. just have music on in the background and you will be fine mate. its well relaxing

i would say if they ask you then you should charge for petrol costs, and a bit to put in the tin incase of vet bills, just to cover your costs . if you ask them then it should be done for free. well thats my thoughts

hey. i want to make a longnet during the summer to go with the 15 hemp purse i have now made. i have some questions before i think about starting. i want to make 100yds but what is the best twine to use? do i use hemp or nylon and what size twine is best to use?. also how much do they cost to make from start to finish? cheers for ya time

the farmer's land i live on is hated by a lot of other people, he is 75years old and still lives in the past and thinks he is above the law. if you mention the name round here peoples faces change. just sent a letter to a livery that i know is over run by rabbits and am going to the local golf course one night next week.

i am now in the process of trying to get a few more permissions for next season, i already have permission on a 1000 acre farm that i live on but dont want to spend all my time on the 1 farm as i live here too. i was just trying to think of things i could put in a letter that i could send to a few places but my mind is a complete blank today. does anyone have a draft of a letter they send out that i could steal. cheers
