    Hi Heard about this trap thats seems almost too good to be true but only ever heard about it used on grouse and pheasant. I did a demo with one of my ducks and worked fine aswell but i was wondering if anyone has ever caught any other birds in this trap design. Any help would be greatly appreciated cheers Darius

    Hi The versatile gundog, training HPR's for gun,rifle and hawk by Guy Wallace is a book i would recommend. Goes through most of the breeds and the training techniques for quartering, flushing and deer stalking etc. I am always returning too the book and i would highly recommend if unsure of which HPR breed too choose Hope this helps

    In Oz we get them all the time, even on us. I even had one down there once..... But they are really easy too get out and just make sure not too leave the head! We sometimes put methylated spirits on them too try and get them too let go

    Hi Though my account has the union jack i actually live in Australia incase there is any confusion. I haven't travelled much while fishing but have been up the coast of NSW. In Sydney using light line for Bream, Flathead and whiting works well with beach worms and berley. If you do some night fishing on a wharf or beach fishing (if in sydney try the mouth of the Hawkesbury) and you should get some tailor, trevally and if lucky a gummy shark. If you try hard you may catch a Mulloway (jewfish) These are fish that you catch at night and a prime spot is MooneyMooney bridge on a full MOONey!

    Thanks everyone, I never knew there were so many different ways of getting a running dog. I think i will go for a whippet because there the ones i've seen worked on rabbits and they look good at it. But i've got a year or two until i can even get into hunting (it's a long story) so i can do my homework and look around for the best. Thanks p.s- good call on Susan Boyle

    Hi i'm looking into getting a working sighthound in a year or so and was wondering where you get them from and if places like greyhound rescue centres are suitable. The two breeds i am interested in are Whippets and Saluki and i will most likely be living in Southern England so the closer there the better. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks D C C

    My whole family isnt very pleased about the hobby but my mum lets me do it coz it's active in the countryside. My Dad especially does'nt like it along with my sister :/
