    I've had a couple but the funniest was when my dad was walking my lurcher during the day a a deer got up the dog pulled and my dad let go of the lead and off over the winter wheat field they went the deer was brought down in a high court judges garden the dog finished the job with the judge and his family as spectators fair playto the bloke he called the local hunt kennels to get the deer and was sound as a pound saying these things happen.The neighbour next door phoned police and demanded that my dog be destroyed when her cat got killed in my garden said I should proof my garden to stop cats

    Best dog I seen would take all on the lamp from rats up to deer all things with teeth,but during the day could also find and rundown the same quarry all singlehanded and the only input the owner had was taking its lead off this dog was bull grey x bull grey

    Lost my dog mate and it knocked me for six for a while ,but when I ,saw the combines cutting the field this year I knew I had to get back in the game got a pup for next season that I'm bringing on don't think I could enjoy life if I didn't run a dog atb matt

    I feed tripe most days mixed with equal measure of mince beef chicken wings or whatever meaty bones they having that day on top dogs love it

    Bugger the expense unless you're dogs in the house its the least you can do for them also use them after a night on the lamp look after you're dog and the good ones will look after you

    I have always been intrested in birds of prey but not had the oppurtunity to be round them.Recently a peregrine falconer moved to the village im unemployed at the moment and hate being idle so when i bumped into him with his lurchers this morning i offered to help out for free and im prepared to do all the crappy jobs and dont expect to be flying any of the birds anytime soon.I really want to be of use so are there any pointers i should know ?

    Its a shame its gone this way,i can remember when there was consistent quality threads and well written write ups of days out.I have had to stop lurcherwork as someone v close to me has either grassed me to the rspca for allegedly killing a badger ,im new to lurcherwork but i developed a real passion for working my dog,it actually stopped me from making silly mistakes in life and going down the wrong path.But i had to stop as you cant enjoy a night out looking over your shoulder and worrying if youre dogs going to be seized.Im so fed up with the situation in this country that im seriously cons

    I think deer/grey crosses are the way they are nowadays,due to the fact saluki and bullxs were introduced in the eighties and proved better at their respective quarry.Before bullx deer/grey were the dog most lads would have had for larger quarry.So less and less people were working them and testing them until you have the situation you have today.
