    the very same thought entered my head as there is a maize field nxt to my house walking it the other day saw roe rabbits the lot i wont run my dog on it like you say there six seven inches long no run is worth my dogs health or life maybe im wrong as ive never run a lurcher before and wont until next season maybe i might feel different then

    pup looks in good condition coat and weight wise but i would personaly be start treating him like an adult dog from now on cutting out the snacks and just one good meal a day given praise when due and correcting him like wise but weight wise he looks sound pal hes beauty...........slip thanks mate what do you reckon to start 1/3 of his food in the morn rest in evenin for a week then just one meal a day what time is it best fed evenings?

    my pup is 4month 3 week 20tts 43ilb in weight feddin him barf just under 2 lb of meat and bone a day each time after 45 min to 1hr exercise this is twice daily and the amount of exercise is only a rough guide as im with him 24/7 he also gets the odd tin of pilchards or snacks in between do other people feed their pups on a adlib basis or are they more strict my dog does not look overweight and have decide that until i start to condition him for work im going to carry on this way his biscuits which i feed as snacks are 27%protein 18%oils hes basically a 3/4 bred bull cross am i worrying about

    i dont think people should ask more than 150 200 quid for a lurcher the advert the other week for poodle grey cross by typp ratcher for 350 was a piss take ive not been in the lurcher game for long at all but from what i can see unless its a well proven bloodline 150 200 quid and the rest is down to you they are a workin mans dog and should be available at workin mens prices the breeder should get back what hes paid out to get the puppies to an age wre they can be sold and be content to keep one or two dogs from that breeding

    hi leanne the first question is ibailey and millie aggressive to other dogs ? just because hes a lurcher doesnt mean he will see other dogs as prey some dogs do though and thats what you have to ask yourself secondly i dont think you should use barb wire what if bailey tries to jump and gets tangled why dont you suggest to the lady next door that yours and her dogs meet in a controlled enviroment ie both sets of dogs on leads this might help the situation though in my experience the yorkies are likely to be more aggressive try and socialise the two sets of dogs it might work good luck let me k
