Ah sure you can get a laff at some of the excuses for the dogs but one of the best laffs I heard after a dog quit was "now sure ya wont tell anyone"

Carl thats turned out a neat job.Maybe get a bit of a turn at those.Used to be a boy went round the fairs making them and selling them.I saw him once at Southall market had a few for sale he had before taking them to Appleby.Great work you should be well proud of that.Hard to see stuff like that now.I mentioned the boats to you, there was a yard at Norwood Green outside Southall used to filled to the brim with barges for repair and painting some of the owners would be there Sat and Sunday was a sight to behold all toiling away on their boats loved to watch them
-
Nice work Carl.Aye Jimmy Berrys a legend.I love all that sort of thing. The canal boats when they are properly painted up are something else as well I must have gathered up thousands of waggon pics over the years.did a small one a fewe years back no goldleafing or anything fancy but would love to give one a go now.heres the back of a box I made out of some scrap mahogany to hold my tools just played about with some paints
-
Lovely job there carl bet that took you a while.Just watched a few dvds a while back by Tony and Sheila Price The Jowetts making waggons was a good one as was the John Pickett RIP one also.Lovely pieces of craftsmanship, cant beat Yorkie Greenwood at the painting of them either.Bet you can appreciate the work that goes in to a full one after that.Joe Davidson is another good hand at them, artists all. You'll be up there next with them boys.

Bolio I'm not referring to your own dog.it caused a lot of rows on the day and causd a man to jack it in a few have said later the dog was one of the frst pitbulls to come into ireland and had the tail docked sorry for the confusion anyway anyone who cant get that christy moore concert its available on dvd as is the 2001 dvd hit amazon or irishcountrymusic.com
-
Aye Bolio the Glens just didnt seem to do too well, think altho a few did work the quality of their work just wasnt satisfactry enough. That day you are referring to was that the same day a certain red dog from north was lifted causing serious controvrsy led to a good judge packin the game in that was a pity.Heres a nice wee bit of music for you from back in th day i could have listened to these lads all weekend and did and another thank god for youtube all these sessions can be relived for those who never had the pleasure

Very sorry to hear that news.A great character and as someone has already said full of life and had time for a laugh with everyone who knew him.Shared a bit of grub with him at the Waterford show last time I spoke to him.Be sadly missed by his family and friends.Always a cup of tea for anyone who called. To Bobby and the rest of his family and friends I offer my condolences.I'm sure you and Christy and Peter and the rest will all be having a bit of craic again.RIP Tony

At the minute these London boys do the trick Love the banjo.Wonder what Old Guthrie and Seeger would think about this.

Think over the 2 games Waterford edged it.1st half was awful hurling and Kelly should have had it rapped up before it went to extra time but Brick Walsh hurled superbly as well as the "old man" Tony Brown who was awsesome in defence if anyone deserves an all ireland medal he does.Think some of the older Cork fellas should move on and make room for a few younger lads, they didnt seem to have the legs for it.Well done to Waterford worthy Munster champions for 2010.

Luke left school at 13 and after four years of odd-jobbing went to England in 1958. The first folk club he came across was in Newcastle in early 1960.
