    Thanks for all your replies. They will all come in helpful next weekend when I start the season off. She already scratches at holes which I think are occupied so hopefully if I put a ferret down something should bolt. Once again thank you very much for the help. ATB mike.

    I am new to ferreting and I have my self a nice young lurcher. Just wondering how do you get your lurcher to mark the warrens which are occupied or is it fully based on their natural instinct? All help is appreciated. ATB Mike.

    Hi down there. There is no official law stating when ferreting can be done but a lot of ferreting men wont ferret until the colder months due to the fact that there are to many babies around in the summer months. You can still ferret in summer, buts its not advicable. But I suppose down under rabbits breed all year round?? ATB Mike,

    Just try and introduce them gradually. Put them together for a little while every day(supervised half hour). They will soon get used to each other and get on. It is expected they will be bit rough so let it go but if its hardcore fighting then seperate and try again next day. Hope this helps ATB Mike.

    Went out this morning and did my morning checks on the ferrets to discover one of my ferrets has ticks on him. Only about 3 or 4 which were all taken off with correct tweezers. I wonder if any one has any hints on tips on how to deter ticks in the first place. I am using frontline products but wonder if there is any kind of smell ticks dont like or anything? All help is appreciated. ATB Mike.

    Your ferret will work fine. My ferret doesnt have a tail and he is a superb worker. Does not affect him at all. ATB Mike.

    I am having a debate with one of my terrier men friends and I am wondering what everyone elses opinion is about it. I can see both side of the argument but I feel its a wise decision to micro chip my dogs just incase some thing happens. What does everyone else think? Give me your views for and against if you like and see if we can have a friendly debate. ATB mike
