give her time and a lot of work,you can have the same problem with a new dog.I got a spaniel dog here who at nine weeks old had parvo,then when taken out with the gun was gunshy didnt show a lot of interest in bushing what so ever was told by every one to cut my losses and get another.He will be two in november and the end of last season you couldnt dream of owning a dog like him,i breed him with my bitch she had six pups and they all got homes even though they are only six weeks old and aint been advertised.How many people will give you an honest answer and buy a pup out of really good dogs a

just think about it lads a vets is a buisines,if we don`t go to them they get no money! my daughter wanted to be a vet we put her through collage,she had a placement in a well known practice and two years into it she decieded she couldn`t do it.she`s been brought up with dogs and ferrets all her life and could clean a rabbit or pheasant as quick as you or me,but as she said people pay money to keep a pet alive and when they have milked you and you can see your pet is only surviving and not living they take more of your money to put your pet to rest!

hi all after a few problem in the begining the bitch is doing ok, second pup appeared bout 10 only the head could be seen so with a little help got it out ,big pup but dead.been on the go with the bitch all day pup number 7 just arrived all ok and feeding

hi all after a bit of advice my springer bitch started having pups at about 1 this morning 1 was born 45 minutes later. its now 5 hrs later and no more have appeared .how long should i wait before i should start to worry. the bitch is 3 yaers old and its her first litter, i know its possible for her to only have 1 but from the size of the pup there must be more she was quite big. cheers all

Each to thier own, i still believe rabbits should be left to breed in peace during the summer months,if you do a good enough job in the winter months theres no need for summer ferreting and your will keep your permission. going all year round will reduce the population and when there's nout there the farmer don't need you no more.

This time of year you shouldn't be ferreting mate all the rabbits have young,your ferret is probably killing the young which are easier to catch.Most people don't start with thier ferrets till september time give them a rest till then and you will enjoy the sport and the rabbits will be more than happy to bolt for you hope this helps
