You may be a bit off on grains. A .44 caliber is closer to 120 grns....I think a ..360 is closer to 70 grains. I would have to weigh mine......but the lee 000 buckshot mold is .360 and drops 18 per pour....they work well.

That is a fine piece of machinery right there......you did simpleshot proud

I personally wpould not have problem eating the ones around here. I live in a agricultural area so a lot of the diet would be wheat and barley. As far filthy birds go chicken aren't exactly cosmolatain lol.....but I would not have guilty feelings if I shot it and left it lay.......crows and coyotes. Need a easy meal at times ........Of course I will eat most anything at least once.

The research I have done. I don't believe we have wood pigeons here in the states. From what I gather what we call pigeons are actually rock doves.....but we still call them pigeons I have never eaten one yet but I don't see why they would be any different than any other game bird.

Kyboy go to Walmart or any other box store and by a daisy f16 for about 7.00 bucks.....cut the yellow bands off it that it comes with and get the pink tapered barets and put on.....then go to the dollar store and spend five dollars on marbles. Hang a sheet up put a soda can in front of that, stand back about 15 feet and start shooting. For under twenty dollars you can have a great starter setup.......now go to YouTube look up bill Hayes how to shoot a sling shot video......after that look up simpleshot shooting sports.....joint put much thought into it just shoot at cans and golf balls so when

Hey kyboy44, nice to see another person here from the states. Lurk around for a bit and read old posts and you will quickly learn the lingo. Also look up slingshot community forum. There is a wealth of knowledge on there. A lot of guys that post here are also on that forum. It is based here in the states so terminology is a bit different. I like dropping in here and seeing the UK style of hunting and looking at all of their fine cattys. I go by Rick OShay on the other forums. I am still a newbie but do like to build, shoot and hunt. Here in Idaho we can only shoot forest grouse legally with c

Kinda, funny to be reading this today. I am 72 hours out of back surgery. I have a cherry tree put in he back yard that is calling my name to make it into a stick.....I just can't go lift it and work it yet lol. I am on eight pound weight restriction for the next three months.....just trying to pass the time and not get hung up on pain killers now. -

Make Your Own Tools Thread.
iamdrglass replied to GruffaloGriff's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
This is a great thread Griff....if you have a few minutes take a look at a youtube channel IZZY SWAN. That man has a very inventive mind when it comes to building tools and jigs for wood working. -
I have been out calling coyotes before and have had our jack rabbits come into distress calls. They were definitely running in to the call and close enough to shoot with a catty ( if a guy had his wits about him). This happened both times during their matting season. I have never shot one with a catty though due to the fact that I typically bushing them with my JRTS,,,,,I still miss them with my shotgun though.

That is nice....how did you attach the fork and make it stable?

Nice job Mag.....I like your style. I was out Mctucker a couple of weeks ago. I collected a bunch of road gravel for ammo. I am going to build a new dedicated rock flipper after playing with them a bit. -
Sorry to get off topic.
