  10. Well said that man yea your right but I think the hole of the housing estate had also worked it. If anyone else would have travelled the way I did yesturday I think they would have somethin to say also. I went from Stirling to Liverpool to Newcastle then back to Liverpool is it really to much to ask for abit of organisation?? At the end of the day bud.If you dont like the ground you have to speak up right away or with draw the dog.atb. Catcher 600 miles withdraw the dog??? I made it clear to the person involved. Your talkin ground. Am talkin council estate fields. Come on no

  12. i have 3 terriers and 2 lurchers which i think is just right for my needs.
  13. my mate had 1 years back was only 18 inches tts this dog was a glutin for punishement loved 2 take fox and anything else that bit back.we must have dug 2 him about 50 times.he was a great busher and ferreting dog also.WHAT A DOG HE WAS RIP SPIKE.
  14. both my dogs work off the slip il have one off and 1 on and switch them as the night goes on only run 1 at a time.
  15. ask him for a trial the dogs only 7 months old come on.should be a cracker as this cross is great for rabbiting if the dog was brought on right but thats a risk your goining 2 have 2 take yourself.if i was you id get a pup 6 weeks old and train it right the way u want sure the season is nearly over u have all summer 2 train it.
  16. i thought my saluki/whippet was going 2 be 2 fast for rabbits she used 2 take off like a rocket up the rabbits arse rabbit turn and shed over shoot alot i just kept at with her and she just cliked one night she will still take off like a rocket but when shes on her quarry she waits for the right time 2 strike.
  17. i have 2 small russels are great bushers with an exellent catch rate there only problem they dont sound on a rabbit but will on a fox
  18. no.they have great heart and determination but they wont kill day time hares besides d odd 1.they just lack in speed abit for fox aswell day time.not putting the breed down they are great lamping ferreting and mooching dogs.just not an allround lurcher.
  19. must agree i ran my bitch while in season last month and wasnt her usally self she still caught some she just wasnt makeing easy work of them.so i think il just rest her in future when shes in season
  20. hi mate get yourself a pup and train it your self dont go buying some dog that is allready lamping cause 9 times out of 10 it will be be sh##t.if its just for lamping rabbits u want it for a good first cross whippet greyhound would be perfect. u should pay around 100 to 150.start with d basic trainning recall sit stay then start her off on the retriveing.when its around 11 months old bring her out with d lamp keep her on slip all d time look for a rabbit that is squatted in d middle of a field walk d pup out as close as u can 2 d rabbit get it up and leave d pup course it.give it bout 4 rabbit
  21. had d same problem at the start of d season with my pup she was just 2 eager 2 get them quick and was over shooting them alot i just kept at it with her and it cliked.now she is still of d blocks like a rocket but when shes on them she waits for d [bANNED TEXT] time instead of trying 2 pick them first time.keep at it with her and she will learn.hope this helps atb
  22. what crosses does he do? saluki/grey deerhound/grey irishterrier/grey not 2 sure on the precenteges.WOULD LOVE 2 SEE SOME PICTURES OF HIS DOGS.OR IF ANY 1 CAN FILL US IN MORE ON THE BREEDING WOULD BE GREAT
