  1. Wilkinson poles are now marked at £2.99 each but you get 2 for a fiver. I got 2 the other day and banged bottom into a point. I went out onto some beans and went to put up poles and realised I had "pointed" poles with inner not extended and the inner would not extend as it too was smashed, what a berk, swore at myself a few times. Now got 2 more and extended before bashing haha.

  3. Ok thanks to you both. Must practice a bit then standing.
  4. I have always been a ferreter and used a shotgun for decoying etc. I am new to airgunning. I have the rifle, scope and lamp and hope to go out soon. i have sighted in rifle by sitting and placing elbows on knees to get a steady shot. Was wondering what you all do when you walk down a hedge lamping about taking a stready shot. Do you usually shoot standing up or do you go down on your knees, sit, lie, expect it varies with people just wondered what you all do. When standing seems hard to keep rifle still. Thanks.

  14. over 100 in Autumn a few years ago. on beans that the farmer didnt have time to harvest the bean pods were breaking open and spilling the beans out. I went into the field and didnt have time to set up hide they just kept coming down. Tried to pick up dead uns and they were still coming down whilst I stood there. Had to go home and fetch sacks to put them in and when I got back they were still coming down. Never shot anything like it again, but still see them sometimes when drifting of to sleep.

  19. Hi Steve in my allotment have got my onion sets in and they have started growing already. Broad bean seeds can go straight in now mine have been in for 2 weeks and are just showing through the ground. I put some parsnip seed in last week also. I have "hispi" cabbage plants growing in greenhouse, they are very hardy. I have grown them from seed and I always gradually harden them up and put out plants in allotment in april and get early cabbages, I plant them close and take out some to eat when not fully grown and leave space for others to mature. Will go up this afternnon and put in some early
