  14. yes agree, most people walk around and notice nothing. Never get bored. i saw an amazing thing today never seen by me before. I was on my allotment. I heared buzzards. stopped what Iwas doing-looked up and saw 4 buzzards very close almost above me. Suddenly two rushed towards each other, one turned on its back, they met and held each others talons. With their talons locked together they tumbled together very fast towards the ground. They rolled over and over gathering speed. I was sure they would both be killed. At the last minute they both let go and just glided over the field missing the gro
  15. The Egyptian geese are the first to display their new family on local Lake
  16. Most of the grebes nest far away from the banks. Must be short of nesting space this year and a pair are nesting close. Looking forward to seeing chicks soon.
  17. top pic -love it. See them about sometimes in big groups but can never get near.
  18. .... I have wondered from time to time what they taste like They are just like beef when cold. I used to be able to shoot the gravel pits near me until it became a country park. There are now loads and loads of them, greylags too. But taking pics of them, listening to them call before they take off and getting in the right place as they come over still gets the heart thumping. haha.
  19. It is a wonderful sound. They woke me up this morning at 5 as they honked whilst they flew past my open window. They were telling me to get up and go and take a picture of them lol. Must admit at the time I could almost see them like a cold slice of roast beef. But I relented and just took the camera.
