  1. I'm going to put in for FAC air and .22lr. I like to do a fair bit of plinking aswell LOL.
  2. Thanks...although I'm not sure I would use, or get a 22lr for shooting foxes.
  3. Ok, I've now decided to put in for an FAC for a .22lr. I've been shooting this 2500 acre estate for 3 years now(shotgun/air rifle), and I have questions regarding the FAC application process: 1. Is a retired teacher and a call centre team manager ok to act as refs? 2. Do they need to send the forms of themselves? 3. The land is cleared for centerfire use, will I need a police check on the land for a rimmy? 4. The land is in another county, will that prove a problem when applying? 5. How many rounds of ammo should I apply for? 6. What do I write on my application form where it says pur
  4. If you would like a trophy as a result of your stalk that's probably not the best time to stalk bucks as there is a good chance most of the bucks may still be in velvet at that time, not only that you will be struggling to see them due to the summer growth, may l suggest winter and early spring would be your best time. I'm not to bothered about a trophy as such. I just wan't something lol. I was thinking Roe, but they tend to be on the expensive side. I'm new to stalking so I don't know what to go for.
  5. Very nice and good shooting! I;m hoping to get a munty for my first deer.
  6. Hi, Ok, I'm now wanting to try my first stalk, hopefully for a Muntjac buck. I live in Leicestershire and don't own an FAC, although I have been shooting shotguns and air rifles since I was 8(now 19.) I have used centerfire and rimfire rifles in the past, including a 308 Lee Enfield, so I would say I know the basics of rifle shooting. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. I'm looking to stalk around July/August time. Cheers...
  7. He says it was taken as a 70 yard shot as it was downhill.
  8. Forget it lol I reckong I need a decent pump. Daft question, but is it possible to top up buddy bottles with pumps? Say a buddy bottle could hold engouth air for 200 shots. Would it be possible to shoot 100 then fill up with a pump? yes you can or at least i used to do it with the rapid 7 bubby bottles and no problems dont know if others have tried but it worked for me So it's possible to top up bottles with a pump?
  9. How on earth could he get sub inch groups at 100 yards to take a head shot. Over 12ft/lbs? Opinions
  10. What happened? Im must admit he mad some terrible shots.
  11. Where could I buy a .20 barrel for HW95? Thanks I got mine through my local gun shop who got it from Hull Cartridge Co. who are the main importer. Cost about £ and took bloody months to arrive. Glad I did it though .20's well worth a go. Loads of ammo to choose from on-line. Cheers. I'll have to have a look then! Is it true that the trajectory is completely flat from 0-25 yards?

  14. I'm now thinking selling my .177 PCP and getting a .20. I'm not happy with the stopping power of the .177, with perfectly head shot rabbits kicking and jumping around for over a minute. I've only had a few outings with the .177, but now use only .22 for hunting as I find it give more humane kills. Does anyone have any experience with the .20? I read an article in Sporting Rifle and while back and the author really recomended it. Cheers.............
