  5. Was on about staffs with my mate, and he asked why they don't have their tails docked or if they ever did. Just wondering if anyone has any information. John
  6. If you don't have the time to go catch small animals, or lack space or even a freezer. Dry food will see you right, of course, baby chicks, small birds etc etc, is probably the best diet. Anything meat based, just stay away from bread and milk sobs.... I prefer the dry food, as someone said it keeps the number of flies down during summer time, plus its easily stored. The ferrets eat it just as keen as small birds and their condition is great. For my situation i cant fault the dried food, i also give them some liver or an egg every now and then.
  7. Why take the chance with KC show shit? As for training...... Well bred working dogs do not need training they just do what they are bred for, and what training to do u give your KC dogs for earth work?

  10. Participate, both the bitch and dog are patterdales and there more than ready for some ratting, the dog is a little less mature and could probably do with a rat showing him whats what. :whistle: Forgot to say... we have transport and don't mind traveling.

I think they were these greyhound ferrets i keep hearing about, anyone got some small ferrets, i'll take a few off ya hands also there is a past post on about his 3 inch hob full grown, i'll have to find it out becuase it was funny...
  18. there is a past post on here that backs me up.... ill find it out later as for being killed or dragged down a hole, very very rare, infact never had that problem once
  19. Hey lads new to the forum, Just wondering if anyone got some small ferret kits? looking for jills about 3/4 inches(full grown) I had 2 before and they seem to be the best type i have tried but hard to get hold of. Closer to Wales the better cheers
