you boys get to heated about what is best at everything, dogs are best at what there bred for, simple as.......pits for the pit, terriers at underground, staffs for drawing or barrel work, long dogs for running and bringing down fast game, obviously there are exceptions to the rule but anyone slagging a whole breed just to 'big up' their own is dillusional imo.

i have only had rifles about 18 months or so and i have heard conflicting reports from various shooting mates about how often to clean the barrel inside, some say often and the others say every 50 shots is about right? can you fellas shed abit of light on how often and if i need to use the wire brush or just patches soaked in cleaners or oil etc.... any help much appreciated by this noobie. i have been pulling patches thro with cleaners fairly regularly and have only used the wire brush about 4 times.

hollie,if you have a local smokery/smokehouse try them. as they buy in raw chickens, fish, deer, pigs etc..then they carve them up for smoking, throwing away the 'rubbish,'which they have to pay for.

wilts are absolutely shocking, had to wait 4 months to see an officer about getting a .22 rimfire, after that they gave me a .22 hornet by mistake, they give new calibres if you apply for them and mis-off the rounds so you cant buy ammo! me and my mate have dealt with them say for instance 20 times changing calibers etcs.....and i swear about 18 times was wrong.......my mate said he would like to swap his .22 rimfire for a .17hmr and the officer said you havent got a .22 on record!!!!!!!!!! -

when a true breed enthusiast seems set to do everything he can to bring a breed back from the brink of non worker and actually do something about making a least afew of them built to do the original task at hand why is it alot of people slate them and their dogs? whats the alternative.......let the breed die out work wise and all own just one working breed? be very boring then i think.......no matter what breed these people should be commended, they have my support. -
he could manage to fit his tiny hand up its arse and use it for a glove puppet.

Wolves in Britain - should we welcome them back?
fishy replied to frankieboy's topic in General Talk
there isn't a part of the british isles that the red fox can live without being shot, snared or hunted with dogs, what do you think the chances of wolves successfully living in modern britain are when they couldn't survive olden day britain........NIL. ITS THAT SIMPLE. -
