  1. Think I'd be taking the head off to the taxidemist as Its a stunning beast, very well done. Neil
  2. Good write up, I'm off out a 04:00 to see what I can get. The small rabbit in your pic looks like a big rat with rabbit ears stuck on!!!!, Neil
  3. Well done that man, what a result. You'll have to put a few pics up soon. Cheers. Neil.
  4. Nice write-up there, Let us know when you get more rabbits!
  5. If it is for FAC you have bought the wrong cabinet...if it is for SGC it doesn't matter! Ooops, it is for my FAC, is it OK to buy a small safe and bolt it to the wall? Yes chap, as long as it meets the BS spec, but now you need to buy an additional cabinet, if you had bought one with a seperate lockable compartment you would only need the one cabinet Not to worry I got the 3 gun cabinet on Ebay for £45, I'll get a ammo safe. Thanks for the advice though. the only problem i can see is gun cabinet goin to be wide enough. for your FAC guns with scopes fitt
  6. Fantastic, very well done. Just goes to show you never know who you're talking tooooooooo! He obviously thought you were a nice guy and thats why he sorted you out. Good write up. Happy shooting. Neil.
  7. Early mornings for me. I normally get there about 04:15 and start shooting at 04:30. They seem more relaxed early morning for some reason. Like someone said above just go out at different times and see whats happening. Good luck.

  9. Excellent, thank you. I'll look online for one.
  10. if its bolted to a load bearing wall, i would see no problem with it, but your FEO may have a diffrent opinion, best bet would be to contact your FEO and ask him, hoped this helped, all the best good luck with your FAC Thanks friend. I cant see it'll be a problem if its bolted to a load bearing wall, I might be wrong though! Lots of the gun cabinets I've seen dont have a built in safe for the ammo (unless they're the really expensive ones).

  12. Hi All, I’ve just purchased a gun cabinet but it doesn’t have a separate locker for the ammo, where can I store the ammo? Obviously I need to make sure the police will be happy with it. Thanks.
  13. You're going to have to lay down the law about taking turns. Tell the lads that they have to hand over if they miss. Sharpen up their shooting no end! :protest: Well thats me buggered then Very nice looking gun there, do you mind if I ask how much it cost?????? I'm looking to get the same sort of thing then my licence comes through. I hear the're good for rabbits.
  14. if you get the go ahead always meet them face to face, with your [bANNED TEXT] if you have to and in normal clothes,be polite and have a pre written letter saying i give so and so permission to shoot on my land and ask him to sign it,safest way Agree, the farmers don't mind you asking them to sign a form saying its ok for you to shoot on their land. Always better to be safe than sorry!
  15. Good video that. What gun were you using?
  16. Good site, oh there is so much to learn!.
  17. Nice looking Roe there Ross, well done......
  18. Very impressive, never seen gutting like it.
  19. Thanks James, and everyone else. I think I'll stick with the rabbits then (I'd feel bad if I shot a fox and didn't kill it). really appreciate all your help and advice.
  20. Hi Everyone, I need your help and advice on rifle selection. I have land to shoot on with my air rifle but I’m looking in to getting something a bit more powerful so I can shoot rabbits and foxes. I know I will need my FAC first, I ideally want something not too noisy and bullets with minimal ricochet. Any advice will be welcome. (p.s. I don’t want to spend a fortune!). Thanks.
  21. I will be there with my half (thats if she isn't giving birth!). Whats with the 'mole catcher stand' is it what you do for a living? Cheers, Neil.
  22. Good work Adam, It just goes to show if you keep asking someone will say yes. I've just got 110Acres, going out tomorrow morning for the 1st time.
  23. Not going to wish you luck Martin because you don't need it, you will be fine. I work in cardiac theatres and see heart operations every day, its amazing what they can do now. BRI has some of the best surgeons in the SW (lucky you . All the best, let us know how you got on. Neil
