    I think all ferrets store food. Mine do it and i think i over feed mine lol!! But more to the point i would try and comunicate with your brother for the ferrets sake. Get some leather gloves like falconry gloves and go for it..handle the ferret. I did just that and i am cured. I love handling ferrets. I wouldnt be scared of them. there quite a kool animal to get to know. Maybe you will enjoy some ferreting if you grow more confident with them. I mean you probably already go ferreting, but it makes it more fun. Good luck FM

    Ahh theres my lady! lol Ahh i think she looks different but she is alot softer to touch now i think with her coat short! It will grow back im sure...i hope anyway! FM

    I dont know much about taking care of ferrets when there pregnant but im sure ule be fine if you provide them with the essentials. Good luck tho! we want to see some pictures when they are born!!

    I have never used a locator. I dont see the point really! If you dont go ferreting when the season is finished then because there aint many babies when we all go back to it, there is less chance of the ferret stayin below the ground. Im just patient to wait for them to rise. Other than that i would fill in the hole and come back for the ferret the nxt day. FM

    its a nice good enclosure just seems a bit too much to up keep! Weeding it and all that! Lucky ferrets though. Us with hardly any space for that can just do our best to give our ferrets as much freedom as possible!

    I would just use a firm voice to them and tap them on the nose. Its sorted my jill out but as i've learned on here my hob is probs just hormonal at the moment.

    Ahh thats a bummer! Hope your son is ok though can hit kids hard sometimes. I had a bull cross, and she was never shown a ferret and she was very nosey so one day i was feeding my ferrets, the bull cross came running up as if there was nothing going on and my hob just jumped out his hutch and he nailed her right on the ankles....it tort the bull cross! Aye the other bloke it right i rekon dogs behave very different when there master isnt about. FM

    This is lady, Wheaton x greyhound. She has collie in her hence the meral in her eye. She is a good hare dog and rabbit. Jumps any fence or gate and retrieves. Very obiedient and lovely dog. She will be having pups soon hopefully so the hunting part of her life will be on hold for now She is a brilliant ferreting dog aswell always on the ball!!

    Looks like a good idea puttin a sink in the run. Anyway there part of the otter family they should love it lol!! I am wantin to build a run or buy one, just need all the stuff first!!

    Umm i dunno like it looks like a mink if you look at the feet and compare them to the one in the photo. Was your ferret injured in any way? Could you of not walked away from the mink instead of shooting it? Did you get many rabbits that day? Ferretmaniac

    Well done looks like you had a good day! how many rabbits did you get in all? Lovely dog aswell. What way is sandy bred? The brindle dog looks like a stunner and quite keen! Keep a hold of them dogs, be good workers.

    Nah i dont do it cos 1 i dont know how to use a gun and 2 i think it takes all the fun out of ferreting. I use a dog for ferreting in my eyes its the better way!

    Ahh good old albinos! i know there the same as any ferret but they do seem to proove to b better workers in my eyes anyway. Glad you had a good day!!

    Why would you want to give up ferreting! I mean you got to take the good with the bad. I think i will keep it on forever i hope lol. Its brilliant fun it really is and its beneficial! Good to hear your still keeping it on. Wise choice!! You would miss it i rekon!

    Well its a good way of keeping the population down on rabbits. I mean about 2 out of 10(depending on how many we get) rabbits are pregnant when my bf guts them sometimes so thats pretty wild. Plus if you want to keep ferrets, taking them out for a wee session of ferreting its the best thing you can do for them as its letting them use there natural instincs .
